This is an honest review from someone who purchased the Remarkable tablet and has been using it extensively, nearly every day, for the past two weeks. The Remarkable tablet is specifically designed for writing and note-taking. I bought it to take notes and have them electronically accessible in an app, where I can convert them to PDFs, documents, or print them. If note-taking and document organization are your primary needs, this is the best choice. I’ve organized folders for work and school, and I can also upload PDFs from both, which is incredibly useful. I debated between the Remarkable, iPad, and Kindle Scribe, given their similar costs. However, I don’t use Amazon services like Audible or Kindle for reading, as I prefer Libby or Spotify for audiobooks, or I just buy physical books. This preference led me to rule out the Kindle Scribe, despite its lower cost. Ultimately, the Remarkable was perfect for my needs, offering a distraction-free environment for note-taking and document management. While the Kindle Scribe also mimics writing on paper, the Remarkable provided exactly what I was looking for without any extra features I didn’t need. The iPad didn’t give me that authentic paper feel, making the Remarkable a better fit for me. I love the Remarkable and carry it with me everywhere along with my laptop. It allows me to take notes, access them via the app, and make changes easily. While I’m sure a future version of the Remarkable might include color, I’m perfectly happy with this model. It’s all about preference, and this tablet is exactly what I wanted.

My daughter loves this. We purchased it for hwr last Christmas. She's used it consistently for the last 2 semesters at college. It helps her organize her notes and she doesn't have crumpled up papers to lose. Game changer for her!

A great, no-frills tablet for anyone in need of a portable writing solution. Easy to set up and has plenty of layout options for different projects. No internet access or other apps means you have nothing getting between you and your work. Writing on it does take a bit of getting used to. It takes pressure into account as you write but a bit of use and I got used to it rather quickly. Erasing is a breeze as all you do is use the back end of the marker, much like an actual eraser. The only downside is the price, of course. Quite an expensive piece of kit, but the better marker, replacement tips, and included case are solid. Would recommend it to anyone who is going to get plenty of use out of it.

Very well thought out device. The writing experience is incredible and does feel like writing on paper. The simplicity of the device helps me with improving my productivity and staying focused. Every aspect of this device is intentional, even the features that may be missing. I understand why there is no bluetooth, you can only send to email and not receive and read emails, no backlight, no web. This allows to focus on your notes, drawings, tasks, etc without any distractions.

Have only had this tablet for a few day and love it. Yes it is pricey but it does what it is supposed to very well. If you are looking for a tablet with lots of apps and distractions then this is not for you. It you want an amazing way to take notes and organize them with all the distractions then buy this tablet. I am using it for school, work, and personal informat. The ability to mark, highlight, and take notes on PDF files is amazing. Every student and professional should have one.

Really like my Remarkable writing tablet. I tend to take a lot of notes and sometimes doodle scratch ideas. I have been able to easily categorize and organize my notes into appropriate files. Very easy to recall my notes in a few clicks. Really, Really like it. I do mostly use this for work and a few peers of mine have bought it too for their jobs. Also holds a charge for a long time, over a week and sometimes two.

I highly recommend this paper tablet!! I am a counselor, and I have to take notes all day long. The reMarkable 2 allows me to convert to text and email all my notes right into my client's charts. This little baby has cut my work load down by 50%. I also have to mark up many PDFs, and I can do so and email them to all my team members. 10 out of 10 for me!!!

I really enjoyed the writing experience the Remarkable 2 offers. If writing is your main focus, this is a great tool. However, For an academic researcher, I needed a bit more flexibility for annotating documents and creating digest. I will say that the product is well designed and the quality is the best of the e-ink tablets that I have tried.

The writing experience is simply fantastic. Nothing else comes close to mimicking paper. The ability to utilize layers is a brilliant addition & the sync and sharing files with my cloud drive is smooth. It struggles to move quickly with PDFs, which is disappointing. Marking them up isn't bad, but using an iPad or similar is a better choice on that front. That said, is an excellent device and I look forward to using it every day.

I absolutely love the reMarkable 2 and find it so useful throughout my day. It really does feel like writing on a piece of paper and is very easy to use. It is very light weight and I love that I no longer have to keep buying notebooks to keep notes. 100% recommend!

This device has been a game changer for me! It's easy to set up, and transferring documents from my phone or laptop is very intuitive. I keep myself organized and on track with bullet journaling, and was able to tweak the method to work for me on the Remarkable 2. I uploaded a few forms that I need for work every month, and I can easily make copies to use each month and eliminate some paper clutter. I appreciate the lack of distractions compared to my iphone and ipad. If you're the type of person who goes on about FPS in video games you may be bothered by the tiniest bit of lag when writing, but I don't notice any at all. In fact, my son, who does go on about FPS, didn't notice a lag either. The Marker Plus is great for erasing. Without it you have to toggle from the pen to the eraser on the menu. The tablet itself feels very well made. I found it helpful to buy a stick-on stylus pouch on Amazon for the Marker Plus. I put it on the front of the Book Folio and it's much more secure than relying on the magnet. The Book Folio is very attractive but I don't think it would protect the device if dropped. I've never dropped it - I don't carry it around much, but it is easy to hold on to with the folio on. It's not super slippery with it off, unlike my iphone or ipad. I don't do any reading on my device, but I do have a few books loaded. The page turns are not very fast. I prefer to do my reading on my Kindle, and while I thought about the Kindle Scribe, I decided that books are also a distraction for me, and I wanted to avoid distractions.

I was managing multiple sites, which made organization crucial. Using the remarkable allowed me to keep everything together. When someone needed information months later, I easily accessed the project on my Remarkable instead of flipping through pages on a normal notebook.

Love the feel when writing on it. Still getting used to it. Just wish it was a little more less pricy.

Waited to write the review to see how it held up. I love this paper tablet. It writes smooth, easy to erase and it is a great tool to use for work!
