This is the best laptop I've ever owned. The screen quality is fantastic, battery life is incredible, and the look and feel of the laptop is professional and high quality. This is a premium laptop, and provides the best Windows experience on a laptop. I feel like I'm using a Mac. I can take this laptop to a coffee shop or library to work and nobody would know that it's a gaming PC. It has none of the flashy rgb, bulk or framing that a gaming laptop has and I am so thankful for that. I use this laptop for everything including work, streaming, browsing and some light gaming. I get about 8-10 hours of battery on browsing/streaming activities, not sure about gaming I just leave it plugged in,. It's pricier than other laptops with similar specs, but you get a much higher quality build and significantly better battery life. It is worth the extra money, HIGHLY RECOMMEND. High

    ASUS Zephyrus G16. Outstanding !

The ASUS Zephyrus G16, a 2025 model, is an outstanding laptop with an incredibly brilliant OLED display, powered by a powerful Intel Ultra 9 processor and the outstanding Nvidia RTX 5070Ti Graphics Card. The 1TB SSD, coupled with the 32GB of Ram, and 12GB of VRAM, effortlessly handles Windows 11 Home applications and power-hungry Games. In fact, I downloaded Call of Duty Special Ops 7, and ran the Game without difficulty in the Performance Mode, which can be accessed and easily fine tuned with the built-in ASUS Armoury screen. There is no excessive heat during Gaming, and fan noise could only be heard without headphones. I liked this laptop so much that I also purchased the ASUS headphones, and then the fantastic ASUS Raikiri-2 Gaming controller. ASUS has certainly nailed it with this model, and I highly recommend it along with the ASUS Headphones and Raikiri-2 Controller. If you want the best, along with affordability, by this ASUS model!

I like this laptop a lot, as a college student I wanted a laptop that could do anything I needed and be high quality light and portable. And this laptop hits all those marks, I’ve regularly been getting 10+ hours of battery life while doing engineering software. The screens and speakers are best in class. The only hit I have on it is that it’s not like a MacBook in where in order to get the best battery life you need to use a 3rd party software “ghelper” to get best performance and battery life, ditch all the Asus software, it sucks. Additionally there are some quirks, the intel iGPU fights the Nvidia one and causes screen flashing, I had to adjust some settings to fix it. If you have the knowledge to optimize this laptop it might be the best laptop money can buy.

The ASUS Zephyrus G16 is an awesome laptop if you need power and portability. It handles schoolwork, creative projects, and gaming without breaking a sweat — video editing, coding, and AAA games all run super smooth. The screen is crisp and colorful, the keyboard feels great for long typing sessions, and the battery life is solid for a high-performance machine. It’s a bit pricey, but for what you get — speed, performance, and build quality — it’s totally worth it.

MacBook quality in a Windows laptop

This is a fantastic laptop and exactly what I had been looking for. A high performance Windows laptop with a great design and an overall quality that is on par with my MacBooks. The 5070ti is a great fit for the G16 and probably the sweet spot when it comes to gaming GPU's in this small chassis. The wattage for the GPU is capped at 125w which offers great performance without the GPU getting too hot and it's not too far off the actual watt limit of the chip (140w). The Intel CPU 285H does a good job in games but it does reach quite high temps if you don't restrict the auto CPU boost function. I saw max CPU temps of 105c on a regular basis at stock settings. The CPU only reached the +100c temps for a second during CPU boosts but I wasn't too comfortable with the CPU getting so hot even if it was only for a second or two. Thankfully it was very easy adjusting the CPU boost setting so that now I don't see the CPU going past 90c and it doesn't restrict the gaming performance of the laptop in any meaningful way. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone looking for strong gaming performance in a beautiful, high quality package.

The design is very elegant. High refresh rate gaming on an oled device this thin is difficult to describe. It puts every other device I own to shame, and I have a lot of nice devices. the 5070ti puts on a great performance at this wattage and this is the sweet spot for this chassis. the 5080 variant is limited more by the wattage limits of this chassis. You can almost reach the 5080 performance by installing g-helper on the 5070 g16, which I highly recommend. The speakers on this laptop are also top notch. They strongly remind me of macbook speakers. The chassis is also metal. disabling 2 performance cores, and 4 e cores dramatically increases battery life without significantly reducing gaming performance. This is basically a gaming macbook.

Finally, Glossy Screen & Pro Looking Gaming Laptop

I was in the market for a new laptop with the new 5000 series nvidia graphics card. I was running an Alienware M16 R1 with the 4070. I pretty much could run everything with that but it was huge and I wanted a glossy screen for video and photo editing. So here comes this ASUS ROG Z G16. It might have a funny name but it looks like a serious competitor for 2025 Laptop of the Year. Love the style, the thinness, and the lack of a huge screen bezel. Pros: -Screen is bright -screen is glossy -Screen has a lot of color contrast -No ghosting -Keyboard feel good (RGB too) -The back RGB is a nice touch -Speakers sound good (better than my already good Alienware) -Plenty of usb ports -SD card reader -the 5070 ti rips through AAA games -stays cool during gaming (no throttling noticed) -significantly quieter than my Alienware m16 Could Be Better - intel processor is meh - touchpad is huge and makes it uncomfortable to play my hands - power brick is small and only 240w (my Alienware is 330w but it is huge as is the laptop) - seriously 1TB generic ssd - small battery - windows OS is just terrible* This laptop gives off MacBook Air M4 vibes in the styling. *Took me 30 minutes from initial power on to get into windows. That is after I ran the code to not have to sign into Microsoft account. But that is not the last of it. Once I got into windows more drivers were being downloaded and I was prompted to update the bios. So another 15 minutes of setup puts me 45 minutes from initial startup. But hold on, one more windows update needed a restart. So onto downloading war zone. The laptop freezes. No response. Had to hold power down and force restart. Let’s try running war zone again. Nope get some weird static on the screen and yup we are frozen again. Another forced restart. Back at it, weird static again. Get kicked out, Optimus kept switching back and forth from Nvidia GPU to iGPU. Once that was settled everything was good. I blame windows more than asus on that one. That is the reason I am taking off one star and the stingy storage.

Powerhouse Performance in a Surprisingly Portable

I picked up the G16 and it did not disappoint. The RTX 5070 Ti is easily the best bang for the buck right now. The power delivery and GPU performance are outstanding for a laptop, and it really shows in real-world use. This thing is surprisingly portable too—thinner and lighter than most gaming laptops in its class. It handles every AAA title I’ve thrown at it with ease, delivering smooth gameplay and excellent frame rates. Thermals have been solid so far, and I haven’t noticed any performance throttling during longer gaming sessions. If you don’t want a Mac but still want a premium, well-built laptop with serious performance, this is a great alternative. I’m not a huge fan of the Slash lighting design, but that’s easily fixed—I just turned all the lighting off in the settings and it looks clean and understated. The OLED display is honestly one of my favorite parts. The colors, contrast, and clarity are incredible and make games look amazing. Running around Sanctuary on this G16 has been an absolute blast—the visuals really shine on this panel. Overall, powerful, portable, and premium-feeling. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a high-performance laptop that doesn’t feel bulky or compromise on visuals.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 (16-inch OLED) is a powerhouse laptop that combines sleek design with cutting-edge visuals and performance, making it perfect for gamers and creative professionals alike. Its stunning 16” 2.5K OLED display offers a blazing 240Hz refresh rate, deep blacks, and ultra-vibrant colors—ideal for both fast-paced gaming and color-accurate content creation. Backed by powerful Intel Core Ultra processors, NVIDIA RTX graphics, and up to 32GB of RAM, it handles demanding tasks with ease. Despite its slim profile, it includes a robust cooling system and top-tier speakers that deliver immersive audio. With solid battery life and premium build quality, the Zephyrus G16 is a high-end laptop that’s well worth the investment—especially if you buy it from Best Buy, where it’s frequently bundled with support plans and student discounts.

Powerful but Nvidia driver feels unstable

This Asus Rog Zephyrus G16 laptop is an absolute powerhouse once it’s properly set up, but out of the box, my experience was rocky. I mainly play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and initially it was running terribly — only 40–50 fps, with frequent Bluetooth disconnects on my PS5 DualSense controller. It was so unstable I had to do a clean install of Windows 11 just to get the system running properly. After the clean install, things improved drastically. I now get 150–175 fps on high settings with DLSS 4 and Nvidia Frame Generation enabled. But the game still occasionally freezes completely, requiring a hard reset — Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn’t work. I suspect this is due to immature drivers for the new RTX 5070 Ti, which other users have also reported issues with. That said, Robocop: Rogue City ran perfectly on Ultra settings, so it seems to depend on the game and how well it’s optimized for the 50-series cards. Now the good: • The 240Hz OLED display is absolutely stunning — bright, colorful, HDR-capable, and better than even some MacBook Pros. • The glass trackpad is the best I’ve ever used on a Windows laptop. • The build quality is solid and premium — this thing looks and feels expensive. • The RTX 5070 Ti with 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM is a great value — noticeably better than my old RTX 4070 laptop, which struggled with only 8GB VRAM in newer games. Be prepared to troubleshoot during setup, especially with driver updates and maybe even a clean install. But once it’s tuned right, this is a top-tier gaming laptop with incredible performance and visuals.

Exactly what I was looking for -- a laptop that can do it all. I was looking for a gaming laptop that could play all the demanding titles with ease, while also bringing to the table good battery life, a solid soundstage, and an excellent display. This is it, folks -- wonderful laptop. Hoping the longevity is there, but very satisfied so far.

This things pretty rad. OLED screen is pretty neat and good for movies and gameplay. Battey life is pretty good when using ASUS's army crate iGPU mode and power saving mode for regular task and stuff (9ish hours). I get decent frames on Borderlands 4 with DLSS (120) with minor latency and okay frames on Helldivers 2 (90).

Extremely good value if you get an open box deal. This is as close as a windows laptop gets to the macbook pro experience. The screen is great, speakers are phenomenal, and performance is great for the form factor, although the 5080 and 5090 don't get the full wattage that larger laptops would have. I get roughly 8-9 hours of battery life when working with VScode, WSL, Firefox, and Discord open, which is about the same with just firefox open playing youtube.

This computer is incredible. I've been a user of the Zephyrus line since they had the 1070 in their laptops, and without a doubt, they are still the best. This generation is thinner, more powerful, and the screen is simply incredible. I think the only downside is that I would have preferred Ryzen over Intel. If you like what the Zephyrus line has to offer, you'll definitely love it. However, it should be noted that you can't have everything in a laptop this thin, and if you want portability, you're going to have to sacrifice some aspects such as enormous performance and battery life, even though it's still too powerful.

I had bought a lenovo legion pro 7i with and rtx 5080 and that was very powerful yet very heavy to move around so I found this laptop which was less powerful yet much more portable and once I started using it the lower power did not seem that significant, instead what was more significant was the work efficiency moving around and the great battery life. 5/5

After device breaking issues with two different Strix, I decided to go with this rig. Looking back it was a blessing in disguise. The quality and finish of the Zephyrus is far better, and other than a few power shifting issues (i.e. from iGPU to GPU can be finicky with my setup) and some tuning to get the most out of it, it's great. Once all was sorted I fell in love. The screen is beautiful, the keyboard feels nice, and the trackpad is great. I prefer the trackpad to the MBP my wife got at the same time. I'm scoring around 16k combined on Timespy touching 87c gpu (using my settings), albeit fans maxing at 68c and allowing for airflow. This is about half of my desktop i9/4090 setup and very impressive. My actual gaming settings are lower, but it flies. In most gaming scenarios, with custom fan curve and settings, the 5070ti is staying nice and cool under 70c. Modern AAA games it can get a bit warm, but can be solved with a blower pad if you have concerns. I have not experienced any negative in-game effects from thermals to this point playing BL4 or BF6. All that said, due to it's profile, there are limitations. Without a secondary blower you are going to run into thermal limits before you max out the hardware. If intending on this being a desktop replacement I would recommend getting an llano or iets to get the most out of it. This introduces noise, so you would need to be comfortable with increased fan noise. Candidly I have not tested the results of adding one, but even with this being a secondary device, I plan to get one to make sure I get the most out of it. Other nice surprises - Silent Mode at 35w with boost off is plenty quick for day to day tasks and I have gotten at least 7 hours of battery life according to the system. I've not gotten lower than 40% after a few days of light to moderate use so couldn't tell you the actual. It's enough for me. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the finish. I don't love the gaudy gaming laptops and this appears like a high end device, not a toy. TL:DR - Screen's great, finish is lovely. It's quick, but will likely need a little bit of enthusiast experience to get the most out of it. It's profile introduces thermal limits, but either through settings or a blower this should be able to be minimized.
