Understanding this is just a browser is key here. It's not comparable to a full computer. Chrome browsing on this is much faster than chrome on a netbook or other under powered laptop. If all you do is web you should be happy for the price!

This laptop does its job. there's not a lot of space but you can always use google for storage. only con is that the keyboard does not light up. other than that for the price all is great.

Does everything needed, quick boot up and onto the internet

The Chromebook would be/could be great IF they had decent programs to use with it while offline. I am not attached to WiFi 24 hours a day and therefore I'd like a little more out of it than being tied to WiFi. In particular I was looking for a decent, nothing too extreme or Word-like, just something I could write with while offline. I understood that it was not Windows compatible when I bought it, but they still could have more than just games and minor 'note' programs to use offline. That is it's biggest pitfall...not enough programs for use offline to justify it's cost. I can get a Kindle for half the price.

It is a nice laptop for the price and features it has.
