Waste of Money so far

I purchased this to protect the HP Chromebook that was also a bad purchase. The Geek Squad replaced the motherboard and it actually made it worse. Now it doesn't work at all. Best Buy will not give us our money back, a replacement device of equal value or even store credit since it has been more than 14 days since purchase. Basically we are stuck continuing to take our device back and forth to Geek Squad so they can "fix it" till our warranty runs out. We will not and have not been back to Best Buy since to purchase anything nor will we recommend going there to anyone

Extra Protection Should Mean Something

Was on the phone with geek squad for over an hour and they told me I had to bring it to the store. Wasn't happy with the service. I will stick with the manufacturer's warranty.

Worst Customer service ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in maplewood store on Friday 11/25 in the morning to try buy a Laptop and tablet , when I got to check out, I was in the register and the person that was in that register supposed to be the lead person from that area and was take care of me when I told him that I came to pay for my laptop and tablet he even didn't know, what going on in his area, I talked him that I was wait for more that 1 hr. That somebody came to help me about the laptop, and he answer was we are busy, but the tone Voice was not the correct and the end I just got the laptop and not the tablet , I was really upset

Get ready to spend more money!

However, if you must use this service, use the Geek Squad on Glenwood Road - they are very courteous, professional, and well equipped to handle your technological mishaps. You will spend money if your device does not have a Best Buy warranty. You will spend more if you want to back up information before they work on your device - at least $100-$150 just to back up information. If you do not have a spare device at home, get ready to wait up to 14 days to be reunited with your device.

Best Buy did not honor the 3 year warranty.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After sending the product in for repair for the same defect 2 times, Best Buy cancelled my warranty and did not fix the defect under the warranty. They say I reached the limit of benefits - hard to believe since the product is still broken. I would give zero stars if I could since I completely wasted my money. In addition, Best Buy does not return calls on repeated instances of escalations to customer relations. Four instances of my complaint being 'escalated' for a call back were never returned.

Charger keeps failing

repair to laptop

Repair for my HP Spectre under BB Warranty

Shipping my laptop to a service center, who was unable to make the proper repairs, and yet sent it back to the Best Buy store for customer pick up. Now, it has to be reshipped and I'm being asked to approve the shipping! Seriously? HP Sectre is only 13 months old and completely quit charging or staying on!

Useless

I did thinking it would kick in after the factory warranty went out, nope. I wasted money on a protection plan that you already get free with most laptops. I wouldn't reccomend it unless you're going to get a multiple year plan. Then your looking at as much as a price of a new laptop.

Poor customer service

The Geek Squad used a broken keyboard to pretend to fix it and then told us we needed a whole new computer. We got it back and had it fixed with a working external keyboard in 5 minutes. They also told my boss she would lose her place in line if she went out to her car to change her oxygen tank.

I called within days to cancel. 3 months later, I am still waiting for credit. what's up ?? !! its not product I have a problem with, tis the poor service after I called 2x. they just wanted to get me off the phone??
