I bought it for $180 during Thanksgiving Sale and have been using for almost 6 months now. I was pleasantly surprised by the build & design of the TV because its so light but still sturdy. The best qualities of the TV are: 1. Awesome Design 2. Roku inbuilt - saves another 40-50 bucks. 3. Image quality is good at 1080p 4. Sound is also very decent for the inbuilt speakers. 5. Roku Remote Control App on cellphone works very well, I like the feature of using my headphones to listen to TV when I don't want to disturb my wife. Only things I didn't like much was the Media Interface through Roku. When you connect an external Hard Drive or Pen Drive, the folder/file selection is very time consuming and there is no search option too. Wish it was made with search ability or even better with voice search through remote. Otherwise no complaints at all. All in all a very good value for money TV. Just go for it if you don't want to spend much.

We are so glad we chose this TV. The picture and sound are great. It has more features than we could have thought of. It is easy to use. We would definitely recommend this to a friend. The young lady who helped us was so helpful and informative.

For less than $200 on sale and so many positive reviews thought we’d try it out for Christmas. So far, so far good. Only complaint is the remote. Very basic, but good pic, good sound, great price. Easy set up, I’d get another without question.

We wanted a TV to watch the Pirate games on the back porch, this fits the bill perfectly. Not so small that you have to sit 5 ft from it but not so large that it couldn't be moved around. It has all the features of a $700 TV but the cost was very reasonable.

I needed a smaller TV for streaming workouts while riding the bike and this was perfect! Roku works like a charm and picture is great. I don't really use it for movies or TV. I snagged this for a tremendous deal in black Friday. Excellent for the money.

The fact that this TV has Roku built in is a huge plus. The picture is crystal clear. The remote is small and pretty basic, but I like the volume controls being on the side. It would have been nice if the remote lit up when you pressed the buttons.

I bought this Insignia 39" Smart HDTV Roku TV for my oldest son a couple of years back, and it's still working wonderfully. I had not heard of the Insignia brand at the time and was a little bit skeptical of it, but the price was right for the time - so I went for it. It did not disappoint! For its class, the screen is clear and bright, and the colors are vibrant. We have been using Roku for years, so it was fantastic that it was already built in to this TV at the onset, and we would only have to keep up with 1 remote instead of 2. Everything on this TV is very responsive, and we've experienced no glitches at all over the past couple of years, using it frequently. We especially love that the settings and menu are SO easy to access on the main screen, instead of endlessly scrolling through input menus from obscure buttons located in oddball spots on other TVs. Adjusting any and all settings were super quick and easy. Connecting other devices is a breeze, and everything is streamlined in a way that makes it all very simple, easy to find, intuitive, and user-friendly. I think the most surprising thing about this TV is how light it is. The second it arrived (we ordered it online), my son grabbed it easily and literally ran up the stairs with it. Despite how lightweight it is, the materials are fairly durable, and the stand it comes with keeps it pretty stable on my son's dresser. We were going to launch it on the wall but decided against it when it really wasn't in the way of anything where we placed it from the get-go. My son also likes how he can easily move it around as needed, too. With reasonable care, occasional dusting and cleaning, etc. it still looks pretty new! Some apps are already pre-downloaded onto the TV, but you can add whatever ones you wish, as needed. Connecting to our Wifi was super simple, and we were able to connect to our primary Roku account that we already had to have it download all the apps we frequently use in a manner of minutes. As to the speakers, they are sufficient on this TV in a small room setting. While I wouldn't necessarily want to listen to them in larger, more open settings, they're about as good as most other TVs that are similar in size and class. That is to say, they're just "OK." All the same, it can get surprisingly LOUD, and my son has had no problems hearing anything clearly on it. I actually think they are slightly better than average. For an all-in-one medium-sized TV? This was just a great deal at the time, and an excellent value, IMO. Considering we've experienced NO problems over a period of years and it's performing flawlessly, we simply have no complaints about it at all, especially for the low price range we've paid for it. My son has played countless video games on it, watched it practically every day, and we've been really happy with it. It gets two thumbs up from us!

    Mostly worth the savings

My main struggle was whether the savings of buying an "all in one" Roku TV outweighed buying a 40" TV and Roku Premiere or Stick. I ended up getting the Roku TV mainly because the price was good for a 1080p regardless of whether the Roku was built in or not. As far as the Roku goes, I've had a few issues with Netflix and having to reset the internet connection but other channels haven't had a problem. The processor is slower than the Premiere and not having a number pad on the remote is also not great, but I haven't tried to synch up my Harmony to see if that will add the number function or not. That is the reason for 4 and not 5 stars. The picture is great, power up is fine and the speakers are surprisingly good. I see no need to replace my soundbar, which went with my old tv to my daughter. Overall, a good buy but I may still get a separate Roku just to appease my inner whining.

This Smart TV was perfect for my Guest bedroom. Easy to install and hookup. Having Roku as part of TV was great - lot of free apps to enjoy other programs. Remote does not have number pad to select channels put you can easily do that using remote and TV

Great Buy! First time purchasing a “non-so-called brand”; usually I purchase Sony, Samsung, etc. However, I decided to take a chance when our office TV broke. WOW is all I can say, excellent picture quality, sound is great (however, depending on where you’re placing the TV, you might want to consider adding a soundbar if you’re looking for a little more “home theater sound”…mine is in the home office, so it’s fine). Equally important, it was the easiest setup ever. My previous Samsung was a smart TV, however, didn’t quite work the same way. This Insignia Smart TV did exactly what it was supposed to do, and “all” the menu icons worked properly. This was definitely a fantastic decision, and 100% recommend this item!

The picture quality is great and the built in Roku function provided lots of flexibility. The only minor downside is that you have to use the Roku remote every time you turn on the TV to select Cable Box, Antenna, DVD Player, etc.

Great TV for the price. Only drawback is that it takes a while to turn on once you hit the power button. I have a roku on another tv so am familiar with the interface. Size is right for the room. Setup was easy. Great TV that I would recommend.

I bought this for my Daughters bedroom. I was going to get the TCL Roku TV but this one was cheaper so I figured why not. Roku's software makes this TV very easy to set up especially if you already have a Roku account. There is only 1 picture adjustment for the picture which is common on Roku Tv's (Brightness). I was surprised to see that the colors are very accurate for a TV with such little options for picture settings. I have had insignia TV's before and it took me hours to adjust the picture and have accurate colors. I don't like looking at orange faces when I watch TV. I was also surprised to see a Dolby Digital emblem on the screen when it started up. The sound is actually good because of the Dolby calibration. Overall, if you are buying this for a secondary TV for the kids or garage this is worth a look.

I was apprehensive about purchasing this TV simply because I'm not familiar with the Insignia brand. I had been watching reviews for a while and doing a little research as to the anticipated longevity. I've had the set for a little while (less than 3 months) and I've been very pleased with the value and quality so far. The setup was pretty simple and straight forward and the picture quality is quite good for the price point. I was concerned the built in Roku might be a little sluggish, but it seems to keep pace in comparison to my Roku 3, and works just fine. The basic DVR feature (while limited for obvious reason) works pretty nice for the small cost of a flash drive. All in all, as long as the set lasts a few years, this will have been a very nice purchase.
