Bought this for my 7th grader to use at home for schoolwork and for my own personal use. It’s lightweight, big screen and so easy to use.

This performance and battery of this chromebook is really good. Its fast and very convenient for web browsing.

I bought this laptop knowing my needs and knowing that, based on specs, this laptop could handle it. I'm not a power user, not a gamer. I can use my Office 365 apps on this laptop without difficulty. I use my laptop a couple of hours per day on work days, and probably double that when I'm off work. In the eleven days I've owned this product I've had no failures, have not had to restart to reset it. It has not frozen. I've noticed no slowdown with multiple pages open. I don't typically have more than 2-3 apps going at once.

Bought this based on previous purchase of the same item a couple of years ago. Love the size, features, performance, and price.

I bought this for my granddaughter and she is very pleased with it. There are the limitations of using Apps and no access to all software but she mainly uses it for school and watching and making you tube videos.. However, she is unable to play Roblox, her favorite game but she uses a desktop or her ipad for that. I would have preferred a laptop but she wanted the chromebook. And she is happy with it.

When my Windows 7 laptop gave up the ghost I bought another HP with Windows 10. Really slow. I have a 11" Chromebook for travel which is great for basic info, surfing etc. When I saw the great price on this for Black Friday I figured I'd give it a shot. It will do 99% of what I need it to do. It is so much faster than my windows machines. If I need extra storage I use an external drive. Build is good. Plastic but ok. Battery life is great. It really does a lot for little money.

It’s fast, it looks great, the speakers are fantastic, the size is like a regular laptop... overall I’m extremely happy!

No complaints, and we all know how picky teenagers are. This was a birthday gift for my teenage daughter. She does the majority of her homework on the computer, and rather than share my laptop or wait for a library workstation, she now has her own computer. We are both very happy with the purchase. Very affordable, good speed, etc. No problem streaming and good battery life.

I convinced my father to buy this when his Windows 7 laptop finally and completely died. (Slid off his lap one too many times, I believe) It was a little tricky getting him used to the Chrome operating system, but now that he's got it, it works really well for him. For the price, considering he pokes around online, checks email and the weather, and a little casual gaming, it's a great machine! I'm sure it does more, but that's really all he bought it for.

My office laptop took a dive beginning of the week & I did not have time to look for anything, just needed to get up and running; ran to BB & picked this up. I was running in under an hour with Microsoft online & still rolling, I may not go back to a slow laptop...the transition is a little different but tolerable and the price is unbeatable! Thinking about pulling all my office computers and putting these in!

This Chromebook is easy to set up. Very fast and easy to use. Excellent price for this model.

We were in the market for a 2nd computer and were looking at laptops. The sales associate recommended that for our needs a Chromebook would be ideal. We bought this Acer model because of the large screen size and it so far has worked great. Battery life is amazing. The only negative thing I have found with it so far is the lack of a delete key. It may be buried within another key someplace, but so far I haven't found it.

I purchased this after my laptop died. I needed something for my kids to use for their homework assignment and projects. This is my first Chromebook. It is fast and does the trick. The price dropped a week after I purchased this and I got a price match. This was well worth the $179. I would definitely recommend if you need a device to access the internet and use some light programs.

Good for general use and easy to setup. Light weight and good battery life.

Surprisingly fast in its tasks. Mainly for email and surfing the net. I bought an SD card to expand the memory and work on photos from my old computer. Bluetooth mouse and printer are highly recommended, since there are only a couple of USB ports. Takes some getting used to after using Windows. Where is everything? Right clicking the mouse doesn't produce the same result as in Windows, e.g. Chrome/ Google does have many of these things, so programs, such as photo editing, are not as needed to be installed, but still and all, some desirable programs must be installed. Hallmark Cards, for instance. Download directly from website, since there is no disc drive. A couple of absent things are a relief--anti-virus and updating. The Chrome system takes care of this all by itself. I bought it for simpler tasks, so installing more programs isn't a major concern. It is not a replacement for my desktop, just a tool for simpler tasks. However, as I learn more and more about it, I see it is not as limited as I first thought. One major improvement they could make is to make it easier to find answers to questions. I can easily bypass sign-in on my Windows desktop, but have yet to discover how to do it on the Chromebook. I do recommend it very strongly and would buy it again, maybe a more expensive model with touch screen.

I would consider this to be the perfect computer for 95% of the population. Works awesome for most of what people use a computer for...email, Facebook, Netflix, YouTube, shopping. So simple to use, no Windows complication, no bloatware, no 3 hr updates. At $150 everyone should have a couple of these.

This review is not of Chromebooks in general, just this Chromebook. I had been using (and am still using) an Acer CB5-571 (the white 15 inch model) for over three years now. I love that Chromebook, but the battery life had started to be a little disappointing after a few years. The advertised battery life was 9 hours, but realistically I can get about 5-7 hours of semi-continuous use. I take my Chromebook to work, and it is a pain to have to charge my laptop at work, so I wanted something with a longer battery life. I thought that this Chromebook would at least be comparable to what I have, but I was wrong and I should have read reviews more carefully. The biggest downside is the monitor. This does not have an HD monitor, so everything looks a little fuzzy. And I have several spreadsheets which fit the monitor of my original Chromebook perfectly. I had to resize many of them so they would fit the new resolution of this monitor. Also, this Chromebook seemed to be slower out of the box than my CB5-571 was after three years of use. I am guessing the processor in this model is not as good. The one upside is the battery life. It is advertised at 12 hours. Realistically I can get at least 9-10 hours of semi-continuous use. And I like the larger monitor. So for the time being I am using the CB5-571 whenever possible. If I know I will be at work for a long time, I will use this model. This does not tarnish my opinion of Acer too much as I like the fact that they make Chromebooks with a larger monitor. But I will be looking to get one of the higher end Acer 15s as soon as I can so I can retire this disappointing model. If you don't really care about having an HD monitor, I suppose I can recommend this. But generally I would recommend to stay away from this model.

So far I really like this Chromebook. Easy to use, fast, long battery life.

I needed a new computer that I can afford.The Acer was on sell for under $200. Acer is very basic , the color grey is nice, doesn't over heat, charges quick and I don't have to charge for 24 hours. The downside is that the download is slow and I can't download adobe reader. This computer is good for surfing and checking my emails.
