I haven't had a new laptop since 2005. So it was time. I wanted something that I could run my online D&D game on. I'm not a real gamer anymore per se, so it didn't need to be crazy. But I was surprised to see this "business model" with a decent proc and video card.
I've had this machine about a month. Starts up fast as lightning. Uses battery a bit faster than the advertised 9 hour battery life sticker it has. It's very light. The screen, I think, is fantastic. Vibrant colors and sharp images.
One thing I don't get, is that if you just shut the lid, and don't actually power it off, it goes into some kind of sleep mode. Then it beeps at you. And then you end up having to reboot anyhow because it says no wifi.
But other than that, it's been a great month of computing and video editing and dungeon mastering. Roll20.net works great and after the new firefox update everything is lightning quick.
