Good and reasonable buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good relation price/performance, average screen (at least have 144hz, poor nits and color gamut), I did a RAM upgrade to 32GB, and added a new 2TB SSD. I recommended to put it a cooling pad to reach good CPU and GPU temperatures, in gaming the RTX 4060 is very good, maybe it needs a better CPU to gain more FPS but for it price is still good.

Amazing computer for incredible price!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, the machine is unbeatable. A 13th gen 17 with a 4060 and 16 GB ram for under $1000? The screen is really nice as well. Heard some complaints in reviews that the color accuracy is not perfect but I don't care - looks good to me. I don't game, I podcast and this destroys even the most difficult video productions applications. Very happy with my purchase.

Strong gaming package at good value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Verdict: The Acer Nitro V 15 Laptop is a solid laptop at great value. I love the minimalist and discreet approach to the design, and I am very happy with the specs. In the end, it delivers just what you need for strong everyday performance for work, personal use, and gaming. First Impressions. It’s a simple looking laptop, with just one logo on the cover. There are no awkward bump-outs behind the screen, so it takes up less space for transport. The laptop provides good ventilation for cooling. The keyboard is comfortable with nice key action. The touchpad is large and responsive. Speakers are decent; I would say louder than most normal laptop, but average for a gaming laptop. Setup was smooth, as expected for Microsoft Windows. Specs. The individual specs for this computer are good. Put together in this package, they come together very nicely. While 512GB of storage is not that much to download games, the SSD drive provide snappy startups and very fast operation. 16GB of RAM is great for a normal laptop, and probably the minimum for a gaming laptop. The RTX 4060 delivers good gaming performance and quality rendering at 1080p (and up to 1440p), with a dedicated 8GB of VRAM at 1080p. Most importantly, it’s great for laptop gaming because it gives you performance at less power requirements for when you are not plugged in. The full-HD 15.6” screen with 144hz refresh, and almost no bezel is vibrant and exciting for gaming and watching content. Finally, the Intel Core i7 (13th Gen) processor is a fantastic CPU for reliability and performance. This is a solid package. Performance. This laptop easily handles day-to-day applications, multitasking, endless browser tabs, and graphics-heavy software. For gaming, performance is great at 1080p, being able to run on ultra settings for most games, and still get upwards of 60 fps (with DLSS and ray tracing off). I am playing the new Forza Motorsport these days and getting above 100 fps. I am quite happy with this card, especially on a laptop and on this full-HD screen. Things I love: - It comes with a nice, custom fitted pouch!! Thank you! I love it. - Strong package of specs at a good value - 16GB of DDR5 RAM is good (and necessary for gaming) - Great refresh rate for responsive gameplay visuals - Solid and consistent gaming performance at 1080p on highest settings - NitroSense is great to keep track of CPU and GPU temperatures, and to adjust fan speed - Having the headset jack next to a USB port is a nice idea so that you can plug headsets on the same side, no matter the connection it uses Things I didn’t love: - I would have preferred 2x USB ports (instead of 3) and 2x USB-C ports (instead of only 1). Overall, the Acer Nitro V 15 Laptop is a solid performer, with strong specs and good value. I am very happy with this laptop for everyday use, as well as for gaming at home and on the road. I highly recommend this laptop.

Great performing laptop, perfect for travel!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Starts out with fans pretty loud, but that’s normal for gaming laptops. Fans toned down significantly before starting COD Warzone. I’ll start out with some specs during gameplay. Started out in Performance mode/overclocking with fans on auto. Was getting 144 to 145 FPS very consistently, lowest I was seeing was around 125-134 FPS and for onkly milliseconds. Normal to bounce around. Packet loss 10%. GPU running steadily around 69-71 C, but by the end of gameplay running around 80 C. Fan very tolerable during gameplay especially because I’ll generally be using headphones anyway. Latency at 75 MS. RAM running at 80% , GPU usage 83%, CPU 6% usage, CPU temp 70 C. Ran COD with Normal gameplay and auto fan. Fan noise is slightly better but even so, very tolerable, don’t even notice it. Had to really pay attention to catch the difference. Graphics running at 85-100 FPS consistently, GPU usage 69%, Latency 30-32 MS, PACKET LOSS 0%, GPU 71 C, GPU 75C, CPU USAGE 7%, CPU 70C, SYTSTEM 57C, RAM USAGE 76%. No ghosting noticeable in either mode. Very noticeable difference in performance from performance mode, to normal , but again, the numbers above support that, and it’s to be expected. I wanted this laptop to play my steam library when traveling for work, and this does not disappoint for performance. Since I never have much time to play on the road, I’ll probably continue to overclock during gameplay. My desktop at home ,I would never do that. Construction is lacking, but get’s the job done. Just need to keep my butter fingers from dropping it. Case is all plastic except behind the monitor . In all honestly, it’s kind of nice to not have to lug around a big steel metal of a monster, laptop. Everything about the RAM, hard-drive size, and case material, are where I would expect them to be for this price point. 16GB RAM , running Windows 11- 64 bit, 475 GB SSD hard-drive, (3) USB-A ports, (1) USC-C port, (1) HDMI port. Not a fan of Windows 11 but that’s a me problem, nothing to do with the laptop. All in all I’m very happy with it so far. I would recommend to anyone looking for a mobile PC gaming option ,that won’t break the bank. It’s really performed outstanding so far. Nice laptop that I hope continues to perform at this level!

Great value for more than adequate power!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned an Acer Nitro from a couple years back as well as other brands of "gaming" laptops. But this newer one is even better in my opinion! Still relatively slim and light compared to other bulky gaming laptops. Clean lines with a nice feeling keyboard surface (not too wide and offset like some that include the number pad which is a little narrower than most) and a good size trackpad. Display is large, sharp and bright. Feels a touch thinner and lighter than some other gaming laptops with similar specs. Gaming has been very fast again, and benchmarks and actual gameplay even a little more smooth with great rendering. Excellent for my Solidworks and Draftsight engineering apps as well. Speakers are really loud and rich so no matter what you are doing, it all just works and sounds great. Battery life has only been through two cycles so far, but for my use I was getting over 6 hours each time which I think is great. Lots of ports again in this years model so very easy to hook up a drive or any other peripheral. Bluetooth has worked fine without bugginess like some computers and the WiFi 6 in this laptop has been fast on my home mesh network in a few room locations. 16gb RAM and 515gb storage is adequate for sure, but this machine does have empty banks for more RAM and storage so it is easy to upgrade if desired. Again, great value for what you get and can play games flawlessly!

Good gaming laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For 750.00 this is a pretty good deal. The mouse/trackpad and keyboard isn't great but not terrible. You can add another m.2 ssd and upgrade to 32g of ram very easily so its a great budget gaming laptop. So far it runs great, no bloatware or issues.
