Amazing gaming monitor for the Xbox Series X!

Got this monitor on sale for $379.99 (regular price $499.99) and absolutely love it! It's a massive step up from my older 1080p 60Hz monitor and I honestly think that the picture quality rivals that of my 55" 4K HDTV. I wanted something that didn't break the bank and could take full advantage of my Xbox Series X, this monitor checks off both boxes. Gaming at 1440p 120Hz is silky smooth, not to mention the added benefit of VRR and HDR. I personally found the HDR implementation a bit too bright for my liking, but you aren't missing much as the SDR is bright, colorful, and above all, looks great! My unit came with almost no backlight bleed (only slightly noticeable in a completely dark room) and no dead / stuck pixels. Build quality seems super solid and it looks very sleek. The RGB lighting at the bottom is a neat addition, but I had to disable it because it was a little distracting while gaming. I really don't have any complaints or issues with it so far, the only minor gripe I have is that when you enable VRR the monitor locks the Overdrive setting to Normal. At higher refresh rates it's not a problem, but at 60Hz it can cause a bit of overshoot in the image. If VRR isn't that important to you then I recommend leaving VRR and Overdrive off for the best picture quality. Overall this is an absolutely amazing gaming monitor, especially if you can grab it when it's on sale.

I experienced ghosting within 15 days and it continually got worse, to the point where the image would stay onscreen for 10 plus minutes! For the price I wouldn’t recommend. Just glad that I bought this off of Bestbuy since their return policy is nothing short of amazing compared to amazon and all these other sellers.

Outstanding build quality, connectivity, and color! Went from 1080p at 60hz to 1440p at 165Hz. I didn’t realize what I was missing. Great monitor and has RGB at the bottom to toggle on and off if showing off or setting ambiance. I selected over the local LG and Dells due to the extra USB pass through and great price!

Great specs, dead pixel after 1.5 years of use

The monitor itself has some good features. 1440p, great refresh rate, crisp and bright. Unfortunately a dead pixel appeared 1.5 years into regular daily usage. Service doesn’t deal with less than 3 pixels so I’m out of luck. If you’re considering buying this, there are cheaper alternatives with comparable specs, or get some extended warranty that covers a dead pixel. It’s enough to influence my future purchases.

Great monitor for the price and features. Slightly cheaper than my older acer predator thats 1440p 144hz w gsync. I leave mine on the HDR-400 preset because its ez and visually comparable to my other acer. Only gripe is sometimes theres a weird ghosting effect in some games... almost like chromatic aberration. I do use a 3080 but the rest of my pc is dated. I do leave it on 165 hz vs 144 hz as theres a slightly better difference and the UFO tests seem identical.

A great panel with a fatal flaw

This could be a great panel. It has great color, there are rec 709/sRGB modes with clamped gamut and adjustable brightness. HDR works as well as can be expected without local dimming for extended gamut in games with good HDR support like Horizon Zero Dawn. There was minimal IPS glow and a reasonable level of contrast for an IPS monitor. However, Acer chose to disallow the changing the overdrive mode when using adaptive sync and the default overdrive setting is very aggressive. Everything played under 120 fps has horrible overshoot issues as a result. The only alternative is to disable freesync/gsync. That defeats the purpose of purchasing a gaming monitor. I REALLY liked this monitor.. but this one issue rendered it useless for me. I have never seen this feature lock out before, its a really unfortunate decision on Acer's part. I am very disappointed to have to return an otherwise excellent monitor. If you only play competitive shooters at very high frame rates then this may be an attractive monitor otherwise give it a pass.

The monitor was very dull in the store and i wanted a 27 inch monitor 1440p high refresh rate and this ticked all the boxes aside from the fact it was super hard to see. Its an hdr monitor so you need to setup windows and games to work with hdr. It would flicker on games and it was just a setup issue. So i have have issues with it. It didnt work perfectly out the box but with some tweaks its perfect very bright very good looking
