I have not done a backup on my own at this time. My technician did a backup for me so I am not sure about the product.

The new version stinks compared to older one cannot even look at your backup files. Customer service is a joke. Even though it is brand new you only get to email them or chat and chat is very slow responses. They want you to pay to call them. Will not purchase again.

    No Cloning for Mac

I'm disappointed that you cannot clone a Mac OS HD. I was very much under the impression that you could when I bought it. Thankfully I'm still able to get what I want done (migrate to a larger HD) by backing up the old HD and recovering to the new one (this is something I'm pretty sure I could have done with the built in Time Machine app). On the first attempt it did NOT copy over the Boot Camp or the recovery partitions. Instead it made the main Mac OS one big partition. I thought it would offer the partitioning options during the recovery process. But it didn't. After the recovery completed I went into the Disk Utilities and partitioned the HD so that I have somewhere to recover Boot Camp and the recovery partition. I plan to re-run the recovery process but this time I'll have additional partitions already made. The software itself is good. It's easy to use and has a simple and somewhat intuitive user interface. I'm selecting the 'Yes' option on this review where it asks if I'd recommend it to a friend. But the truth is, it depends on what that friend needed. I wouldn't knock it out of their hands on the way to the checkout counter but I don't think I'd actively encourage the purchase either -- again depending on what my friend needed.
