These things are complete junk. 1 st one blew out in 2 months. 2nd one lasted even less and I now have sitting around reminding me of my money I wasted on this thing. Installed by best buy geek squad so you can't say user error here. Just junk crap product.

I purchased this Alpine to go in my Wrangler Unlimited. I had it installed by the Geek Squad and within 2 days I took it out, returned it and replaced it with a 12" Rockford and a single channel Rockford amp. This speaker really added zero low end sound to my system, it became easily distorted at higher volume levels and the remote gain actually made it sound worse. Look elsewhere.

I wish I could give a full review but can’t because some wires and the remote were missing from the box. Had to return it and the 2 stores I went to didn’t have in stock. I’ve had great luck with alpine in the past but not this time.

Wanted something clean for the install thought it was great once plugged in sounded horrible instead went with a traditional 8inch sub

I had a crew cab truck. Had it under my seat. Could barely hear it.

Barely could tell the difference with this subwoofer under my seat. Not worth it..

I bought this sub to get a premium sound out of my factory radio, nothing crazy. The sound was decent but not premium, under powered. On top of this AND most import is the speaker BLEW OUT after 45 days. Returned and will not be buying again. Plus wasted time and money on install I won’t be getting back

Went to best buy to pick up and install. ..bench tested hooked up and tested inside my new Corolla...Sounded awful. Full volume cracking sound. Rejected it. Bought a new 8 in powered bazooka tube online and it worked great, installed at best buy . The installers at the Melbourne store were fantastic!!

This thing does not put out much bass. I returned due to poor quality. Not like alpine to put out this kind of stuff.

Installed in a big rig with a double bunk sleeper. I am a truck driver i work and live in my truck, i was looking for clean bass to match my mids/highs which run off the head unit ( no amp) this was perfect. this sub braught life back into my music. If you are looking to compete in a bass competition do NOT show up with this sub, but if you are looking for a clean thump you can feel inside your vehicle without sacrificing your cargo area or your next meal this is the way to go. verry well built, strong aluminum case if i step on it, bump it, drop something on it, it might get a scratch on it but i am not worried about it being damaged.

This powered subwoofer was EXACTLY what I was looking for; a compact option that easily fit under my passenger side front seat, built-in amplifier, and does an excellent job of filling in the lows that my 5.25" woofers cannot touch. As others have mentioned, if you are looking for annoying car shaking bass, this sub isn't for you. The first thing you notice about the Alpine is the weight and rugged construction. It delivers excellent, quality bass in a small package. It does an excellent job of filling in the low end I'm missing from my 5.25" woofers. I like the Alpine has an in-line fuse, multiple connection options (RCA or tapping the speakers), and an inline volume remote. Admittedly, I didn't think I would use the remote much, but depending on the type of music (rock, R&B, etc) or my mood, I tinker with the volume much more than expected. I had no issues with this product but the only issue I could see for some would be the wiring harness. The wires for the power and ground are relatively short (around 8 inches), which is something you should consider when planning your installation.

Its cool balance out my music a bit system still needs a bit of work. My girl dosent like the vibration under the passanger seat :) oh! Got it on sale

Speaker was awesome until it blew out for no reason, using normally and it randomly went out. Now distorted and seeing if can be repaired. 4 months old. smh.

I made the mistake of thinking this would work in the trunk. It does not you hear the lows on the inside speakers nothing from the trunk. I did this because I had electric seats and that is where this sub belongs. Under the seat.
