Customers are saying

Customers value the Echo Plus (2nd Gen) for its excellent sound quality, ease of use, and the convenient smart home hub functionality. Many appreciate the straightforward setup process and the device's ability to control smart home devices such as lights. While some users experienced connectivity or compatibility issues, the positive feedback on sound quality and ease of use outweighs these concerns. The sleek design and strong bass response were also frequently praised.

    Stops Working

Bought this product with high hopes. It stopped responding without pushing the button or unplugging and plugging it back in. Called Amazon and their customer support was AWFUL! All they suggested was unplugging and resetting. After the second time with the same issue we returned it to Best Buy and got a new one. Rinse and repeat...lasted 2 days and same issue. Each time we called Amazon they were clearly reading off a script because they didn’t listen to anything we’d say and when told unplugging it didn’t fix it they said, “Ok...I want you to unplug it and see if that fixes it.” After two Echo Pluses from Best Buy and a replacement from Amazon directly, the same issue kept happening and in multiple locations in the house so we returned it and went with a Dot which has worked great! Also, this was supposed to work as a hub for extra smart devices like the light bulbs it came with. None of the three actually did so we had to buy a Phillips Hue Hub to get our bulbs to work. Overall, doesn’t work as advertised, stops working every 2-3 days after a reset, and Amazon’s customer support is horrible! Stay away and just buy the cheaper Echo Dot.

If you listen to any music that isn’t a mainstream studio album, she is terrible. She cuts you off before u finish speaking a search term and you can’t even have a conversation with her. It’s like Bezo’s didn’t even try. All she is good for is historical or cultural reference points and the weather.

The speaker started to pick up interference and the sound was cracking after about a month of use so I returned it.

Honestly I am extremely disappointed. I started with a Dot 1st Gen and Loved it so much that I bought the smart bulbs. I decided to upgrade and ended up buying this Echo and also the 2gen Dot. I hooked them up and thought everything was good. Welll I've been having issues with the newer gen not responding to me at all. I literally have to be within a couple inches of the echo or dot for it to hear me. I only have this problem with the 2nd gen. I moved my old dot to a different room and it listens and responds better then these 2nd gen. I plan to return it if I still can. I have family who has the 1st gen and its so loud and you don't have to be so close to it. Honestly this one is a downgrade.
