This is a perfect upgrade to my kitchen Amazon Echo. The speaker itself is a substantial upgrade over the Echo and Dot. I have it connected to my Nest security cams and it's great to check on my dogs when they are having play time in my fenced backyard. It can be a bit distracting with it's random invitations to "try" certain skills, but the distraction is worth it! This product absolutely represents the future that I imagined when I first watched Back to the Future 2 decades ago! The only con's that I can think of is sometimes Alexa doesn't hear me so well (same for the Echo and Dot) and it currently can't differentiate between users like Google Home can. I have had the Google Home too, and would highly recommend any of the Amazon devices over the Google Home.

When I needed something bigger than the Echo Spot, this was perfect. YouTube videos show up large enough to read lyrics or follow a recipe. The sound is about the same as the Echo Plus, which is good!

I had the original echo, echo dot, and this echo show when it was released. I've been happy with all of them. Since purchasing this I have also added a 2nd generation show and one of new smaller shows. I think there are things that Google does better, but overall my family finds Alexa to be more enjoyable to use. We are heavily invested in various smart home ecosystems, and the Amazon platform has been more stable and consistent for us. Most of my family has the 1st gen echo show and we message and video chat regularly. It has been easy for the grandparents to use. Sound quality is reasonably good. I wish that the touchscreen input speed was faster. The screen is nice for info and videos, but interacting with it, it seems like the show is a bit underpowered. But, it is a voice assistant, so we don't interact with it by touch very often. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

I use this in my kitchen when I’m cooking when I’m cleaning is just great listening to music watching movies where I need to call my sister and my niece or my mom is a great addition to the house

If you like video this goes along perfect ...a must buy

I do like the Alexa stuff and how it can connect to my phone. Plan on getting the door bell video stuff next.

I already had one of the Echo Show units since they first came out. I bought this unit as secondary unit to put at my parent's house so they could video chat with my kids, as well as with me when I am traveling. What is really nice is that I travel internationally and the app still works all over the world. So I am able to video chat no matter where I am. It even works in China, which is great since China blocks access to Google, Facebook, and other social media. This makes it very easy to check in and say hi without incurring any international calling fees.

This product is so cool! Tell her anything and she does it, from reminders to adding items to lists, turning my lights and TV off/on and I'm sure so much more! Every day I learn something new that it can do!

I bought this after speaking with a friend and before doing any of my own research. In short, the Echo Show is good at what it does but it seems pretty limited. It can't show maps. It can't display web pages. It can play music, videos and answer questions though. I can't downgrade my rating because I didn't do my homework but make sure this is what you want before taking the plunge. I find that it does what I want most of the time so I'm happy with that.

It not only gives information, but has pictures and words on screen. Fun to listen to music. Acts like a tablet with the touch screen. Makes video calls with good picture and sound. Easy to use.

Easy to use and can be remotely setup for elderly or non technical speaking individuals. Very good sound and picture. Useful in so many ways in the kitchen and living room.

We bought this so that we and our granddaughter could each have one. It's nice to talk face to face since she doesn't have a phone Great to easily look up needed info and to play music.
