It lights up for those dark nights watching movies. It also has 2 programmable buttons that help you make shortcuts to get around the Amazon app a lot quicker. My favorite feature is linking it to your Amazon Alexa system and asking it to find the remote when you lose it. It was in the cushions the other night and I said “Alexa, find my remote”. A beeping sound directs you to it. It would’ve taken me days to find it under there.

Additionally, I'ma light sleeper and go to bed relatively early while she stays up later watching television. With this remote, she can stream the TV audio to her Bluetooth headphones and enjoy her shows or football games without disturbing me. Finally, the lighted keys make navigating the remote in a dark room much easier than with the OG FireTV remote.

The remote finder, Alexa integration and TV controls are all great but the icing on the cake is the backlit buttons! The only other feature that needs to be added is a headphone jack like the best Roku remote.

Best fire tv remote

It just sucks that you buy devices and the manufacturer drains more out of you to get the best remote....... With that said, these are the absolute best remotes for fire tv devices (my case cubes) extra buttons and lighted keys are a must, love the remote and highly recommended for your fire tv device.

It is nice to talk to Alexa to find programs, because sometimes I cannot find what I am looking for.

He kept it real with me and said I should get this one if I planned on not having to come back in every other week for a remote. The pairing with my Fire TV was seamless, and I love how the remote is motion sensed, so it lights up anytime you pick it up

Must Have Remote for Fire TV Cubes

Can see buttons when dark. I really like how if the remote is missing, I can ask “Alexa, find my remote.” It will ring until I find it & push the button. I have DirecTV Stream b/c it has the Bally Sports channel (Go Braves!). I’m very pleased there is a shortcut button for DirecTV Stream! I use the shortcut buttons 1 & 2 to turn on/off lights. Amazing remote!
