My 3 HD Fire Sticks were only two years old, but a Sling upgrade knocked out all my Fire Stix at once this year. The 4 k Fire Stick resolved the issues

New Fire OS does not support certain apps

I'm not even talking about sideloading. I'm talking about apps previously available in Amazon's own app store. Tablo and Surfshark were nowhere to be found to install. I just went back to using an older Fire stick. I would have returned this one, but I didn't pay much for it. I just threw it on a TV I rarely use, hoping the apps I need will eventually be available so I can use it more. I would recommend sticking to Android-based Fire sticks as long as you can.
