Purchased this for my 9 year old. As usual, the quality of the kindle is great; I have had one since the very first generation. I did notice this seems to run slower than my last paper white, but that might be due to the ads that are built in. He loves being able to read without his lamp on, and it is small enough to bring to school for extra time.

I purchased the kindle paperwhite because I enjoy reading at night and the iPad I was using was hurting my eyes. So I got this, and I must say it’s fantastic. No headaches or anything, even after reading for 4 hours.

I love the Kindle reader. It is lightweight and I’m looking forward to traveling with e-books that are downloaded ahead of time. No worry about WiFi or internet connections. Simple to setup and easy to use.

I loved my old kindle paper white but it was showing signs of wear so with the new waterproof version I decided to upgrade. More battery power and I don't have to worry about it getting wet in the jacuzzi. Love it!

This version of the Kindle is lighter weight. The battery dies seem to last longer. I'm not happy that the software seems to be different, but I'm getting used to it. Definitely a great way to read books, especially while waiting in doctor's offices.

works great, easy to hold and read.wish i could change background text color (will research). wish it was a smidge bigger, works well for its tiny size. love that its waterproof, espeically since i tend to read in the tub

I had earlier generation of Paperwhite but retured it as I wanted to read ebooks on my ipad(kindle app). Boy! it was such a mistake. I purchased ut back this thanksgiving and got the best distraction free device. At times feels little slow but should be fine with a reboot.

The Kindle Paperwhite is great because of the backlight. I didn't realize this until I experienced it. So much easier to read in bed and low light. Very light and the extra memory is great for more downloads. Airplane mode makes the battery last even longer. Love It!

Sleek, yet elegant. Battery life is incredible. I love being able to read outside or at night with no light on. Amazon store makes it easy to purchase or download books. All around pleased that I purchased this.

I finally made the jump to a tablet reader. I love regular books and was hesitant to move into an E-reader. However, the Paperwhite has made my experience favorable. The E-ink looks impressive and does not strain the eyes. It is very light and easy to navigate.

This device was a gift to a longtime Kindle user, a user of the original kindle. The reviews back from the gift recipient is a resounding thumbs up. The brightness of the display, the thinner chassis and its ability to store so much more data makes this a five star

They have come along way since the first Kindle. My wife bought this to replace a previous model. The battery life is much better and it is easy to read even in bright sunlight. There also are a lot of accessories that you can get which my wife loves.

I can’t say enough about this Kindle Paperwhite. I take it everywhere. I took it on the beach and have also read it beside the pool and I can easily see it in any lighting. I absolutely love it and the battery lasts a really long time!

I bought this to travel with and it is very lightweight. Small enough to fit in my back pocket or coat pocket while walking through the airport. Very light and small enough to not get hand fatigue while reading. I recommend this to anyone looking to own an e-reader.

Lightweight for sure..compact..perfect! Extremely happy with my purchase of the Kindle paperwhite. Wasn't crazy about a kindle that I bought years and years ago but this one..I love it! I would definitely recommend this item.

This is the best purchase i have ever made for my wife who loves to read. The screen brightness is great and adjustable Battery life is awesome reading 4 hours a day and lasts over a week of use before needing to be charged.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. She loves the back-lighting more than anything else. Build quality and screen quality are a big step up from the lower end $50 Kindles. Battery life seems quite good, even with the back-light on.

My favorite purchase ever!! This is super useful for a regular reader. Definitely worth the splurge to have all your books with you at once. Not to mention how slim and light it is. I love everything about it!!

We both like using the Kindle Paperwhite. It’s very light and just the size of a paperback book (although much thinner). It is easy to read in full sunlight also. Our Kindle accounts also work perfectly on our iPad and other devices. Would like to see the page numbers while reading though, but each page shows only time left to finish each chapter! (?)

I am moving to the kindle from the nook. My nook device is great but it just so happens, Amazon products and apps run my life. The nook made no sense. This kindle is perfect! Easy on the eyes. Tiny. Simple to use.
