Bought as an anniversary gift and has had almost constant use. Battery lasts a long time between charges, Very pleased with speed and backlight.

I am really enjoying this purchase. Light weight, easily readable under all types of light sources. Full charge lasts roughly a week.

I wish I could just scroll up while reading instead of having to swipe to the next page. Other than that, it’s pretty nice. It’s light weight so I’m able to hold on to it for a while without my hand cramping up on me and I love that it’s water proof.

I had one of the original Kindles and wanted to update. This was the perfect choice. It is lightweight and easy to manage. I highly recommend this product.

I am so glad I bought this! While, I love hard cover books, I just don’t have the space in my apartment to keep bringing them home. This device is such a lightweight, easy to travel with and carry alternative. I love that I can switch between light and dark modes. I got a little leather case to put it in that has a stand and a hand strap and that has made use even more easy! Anything that makes it easy for us to read a book these days gets 5 starts from me!

We purchased this Kindle to have in the house as an upgrade to a 2012 Kindle that worked until i brought it into the Jacuzzi. This one is now waterproof! Read it in the pool on a float where it got a little wet due to splashing and had no issues. Works great and love the ability to read at night finally with the light. This one came with adda, but they are only when not using the device when on the Lock Screen. Don’t even notice they are there.

Works fantastic, even when outside reading, looks just like a real book. Battery life is great as well and super easy to use.

Purchased at Black Friday promotion price of $85. I wanted the Twilight Blue color but was not available in store, so I bought the standard black eyeing a later exchange for the blue to secure the promotion price. My goal was to use a recycle 25% coupon, but no dice because the promo was only applicable towards the "regular retail price." Oh, that blasted fine print! The device has a bit of a learning curve for those new to e-readers or those upgrading from prior models. Slightly disappointed in the number of newspaper and magazine options, but that's not necessarily a fault of the Paperwhite. The text is very easy to read, and pages are easy to navigate once you learn the controls, Device is lightweight in the hands, particularly compared to older Kindle models. This is great to reduce eye strain from blue light exposure, and to allow yourself distraction free, focused reading.

Love this kindle. Small but easy to fit in your hand. Not cumbersome like a hard cover book. Easy to fit in your purse or travel tote.

Really like the Kindle paperwhite e-reader. Definitely easier on my eyes than other backlit screens. Battery also lasts a lot longer than other tablets.

Pretty much the same as the old Kindle. It is sleaker and waterproof, but other wise works almost like my old Kindle. When it's shut down for a period of time, it takes about 4 seconds to start. Some folks have found that an irritant, but I have no great issue.

For over 20 years, I have been a video game collector. I have always enjoyed a good interactive story. In recent times, I have been wanting to get back to reading and exploring new and more detailed stories. That said, I picked up the Paperwhite, and absolutely love it. The e-ink tech used in these is so neat, and uses barely any battery power. You can charge these, and carry it with you for several weeks, if not longer, before needing a charge. The book storefront is easy to access with countless books available. Love it!

Amazon kindle is lightweight and small enough that it makes it easy to tote when you are on the go. Easy to use too.

This e reader still hasn't died since we bought it a month ago. It's great that it's water resistant and the screen is easy to read. Great value for the price.

This is the 3rd kindle I have bought for my wife and this one is the best yet. Very light, slim profile, and great for bringing it anywhere. Definitely recommend.

Gave to my wife for Christmas to replace a 6 year old kindle. She loves it. Lightweight, great backlight, and would recommend the amazon magnetic cover to go with it.

I really enjoy using the Kindle. It's my first one so I'm not sure what to really expect but it is such a convenience to use compared to a standard book. I always was one for regular paper books but the Kindle has sold me. However a minor issue that I have with this Kindle is the placement of the power button. It's an annoyance to have it placed on the bottom on the Kindle because my finger often presses it. Whoever designed that needs to rethink it for the future Kindles. Also the battery life is really good but I doubt that it lasts as long as advertised (a month) but it still does last long enough for me not to ever worry about charging it.
