I have used my original Kindle for many years. I had to discontinue using it because it would not accept the latest upgrade from Amazon. I began to use my iPad as a reader but it is not as easy to use for that purpose as the Amazon product. If you have a pretty good understanding of today's technology you will love this machine. If you don't it's going to take a minute to learn the ins and outs. Now that I've spent some time with the device I do like it quite a bit and I find it very portable. Also it is usable inside and outside.

Easy to read, light weight, and great battery life. Nice value for the price.

I love this product. At first I wasn’t sure if I would like using a Kindle rather than an actual book. It is much easier to read, not having to worry about lighting from a book lamp or other lights on the home. I enjoy being able to purchase books immediately and for a little cheaper than in the store.

Literal game changer. I am a avid book reader - I love the feel of a book, smell of a book, the fun of picking out a new book in the store. BUT THEN I got this to read a series free on Amazon and WOW, this has the ease of reading an actual book without having to carry a book around. Take it from a skeptic, this is 100% with it

This 10th generation is my third Kindle. It is a noticeable upgrade and a good value. Reading on a Kindle keeps getting better. Battery is great although I don't quite get as much life as some claim. But the most important thing is that the whole system of the Kindle device coupled with free and reasonably priced ebooks from Amazon, library systems, etc. is just terrific for readers,

I received my new Kindle as a Christmas gift from my husband. It was supposed to replace one he had given me about 5 years ago ; instead it allows me to have my books handy both in the living room and the bedroom. Since I'm not able to go out to the bookstore, this is the next best thing. I can't imagine not having a Kindle.

The back-lit feature makes it perfect for reading E-books at night. Another good feature is that it is very light-weighted

The Kindle is perfect for outdoor reading on the beach down the shore or outside on your patio. I gave it only three stars because the device is really slow. You can load it with a ton of books, a plus, but you have to have patience when using it, a minus. Overall if you're looking for a decent e-book reader I recommend this one because Amazon offers such a variety of books you'll find lots of things to read. Please DO buy a cover for it. Great investment.

I USE THE READER DAILY AND I'M REALLY AMAZED ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS DEVICE, CAN READ FOR HOURS WITHOUT FEELING TIRED ON MY EYES, IT HAS BEEN GOOD INVESTMENT, SO IF YOU LIKE TO READ A LOT AND CARRY OVER HUNDREDS OF BOOKS AT HAND THIS IS THE BEST ONE, EVEN WORKS GOOD WITH PDF DOCUMENTS.

Lighter, faster, waterproof and more storage. I’m soo glad I upgraded.

The size is very convenient and great for tub reading since it’s waterproof.

If you read a lot and don't have space for books, get a Kindle! I've had one Paperwhite before but I decided to upgrade to this one because of the water resistance, the flushed, flat screen, more memory for storing books and the ability to play Audible audiobooks via Bluetooth. It just works!

Bought this for my wife for our travels.. Great screen and battery life!
