Had an older Kindle that I liked. The paper white is much better. Easier to read and seems to be more responsive to page turning. Much better response time to finding your “place” when you start reading on another device. Would definitely buy again.

Not our first kindle we are a family of 5 with 4 of them. This is the prior model of the Paperwhite. The software has recently been updated and its very intuitive. It is in our experience a fool proof purpose built device.Can't go wrong but would consider the newer model. Pricing at Best Buy was better than Amazon when I bought it. Also has a web browser but not its best feature. I love sending PDF documents to it saving time space and my back from carrying paper on long trips. Kindle versions of books are always cheaper in my experience so the purchase has a short payback. The ability to carry hundreds of books is kind of amazing

Very happy with new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite E-Readers (we purchased two, one for my son and a new one for myself). I love being able to read in bed without any extra lights on. It is so much easier on my eyes in any environment and no need for more bookshelves!

Enjoying the new Kindle. It was easy to set up, the size is great and the screen is true to the descriptions.

I got this for my wife and she loves it. She had a regular kindle from 2014 that she used extensively. The biggest upgrade she likes is the backlight which gives a lot of settings for adjustments. I noticed the resolution is sharper as well.

The Kindle Paperwhite screen is wonderful. The interface is not as user friendly as an iPhone. I wish you could use it in landscape mode vs portrait as typical book. The ads are annoying unless you subscribe. Access to free and low .99¢ collections of classic authors is outstanding. I wish they had this device when I was in school. As poor folk we never went to libraries.

My wife absolutely loves her Kindle Paperback 8Gb. She uses it all the time. With Kindle's unlimited option - reading titles - endless reading. It's the best bargain!!! Plus a charge lasts forever!!! weeks!!

The Paperwhite Kindle is awesome! This is my 2nd Paperwhite and I think that they are great! The only reason I had to get another one was because I wore out the first one - LOL! To be able to get a book anytime I want, share with others, and take it everywhere with me makes the Kindle the go-to reader.

My wife’s old Kindle died due to the charging connection on it. The battery would never change again. I went to Best Buy and picked up the new one. It’s absolutely way better than the original one by far. Better back screen with light so you don’t need a overhead light.

Upgraded from an older model I have had for years. I was a little worried about battery life because this version has it's own lighting, It's been three weeks and two books read on the first charge. Best of all I no longer need light in order to read.

Love the Battery length, font choices & being able to control screen backlighting

I’ve read a lot of reviews before purchasing this Kindle, and after having it in my hands, I don’t understand why some people can be so particular. It’s lightweight. The battery is great. The light is perfect. The glare from the screen is extremely minimal. The price is very fair. Buy one.

I purchased for my wife as a present. She reads a book every week and was not sure she would use this electronic book! She is sold on it now - takes it with her everyday. She uses amazon app to get her books. Highly recommend! Get the leather cover for it too!

I had the Kindle Fire but read a lot outside and is extremely hard. The battery life was also bad. The Kindle paperwhite is amazing outside and wonderful battery. There are thing I miss from the Fire but this is the perfect one for me.

Replaced and very early Kindle edition. This one is much smaller, lighter and more functional

Been using it for two months and still love it. It's easy to read inside, at night, and outside when it's sunny. I wanted something I could read in any lighting and this was far superior to the tablet I was using before due to it having a matte screen.

I bought this as a gift for my wife, it was something she would either love or hate -turns out I lucked out and she loves it! The digital format is much more convenient then paper books and the screen resolution and find sizes are easy on her eyes

Have never had a Kindle before - love it! Before I used a Galaxy eReader which I liked. When it broke I used my iPad but that was so heavy, it was a bit awkward for long reading sessions. The Kindle is so lightweight, easy to read, easy to hold—wish I’d bought it a lot sooner.

Switching from Nooks. B&N not supporting the Nook any more and had no service for days when their system was hacked. Got a $5.00 coupon for our troubles. Couldn't read on the Nook, iPhone app or PC app for days. Kindle is much thinner and lighter.

This is my 3rd or 4th Kindle. They keep getting better. I wouldn't have any other e-reader. For traveling this is an excellent way to have a good supply of reading material without adding a lot of weight or taking a lot of space.
