Waterproofing “or water-resisting” is a big reason to get this model. With a singular flat screen less nooks for sand l, liquid, or debris to get stuck in and mess things up. Maybe not a worthwhile upgrade if you have last gen and don’t care about that aspect.

This has to be one of the best kindle products made. The new waterproof and audible feature are great. A+++++

I bought one of these over a year ago and love it. My wife always wants to read the same books on mine but don't want her to lose my place so got her own. She loves it. FYI buy the special offers then chat Amazon support and they will remove.

I bought this one for my daughter who uses it daily still. She is a nurse and this fits so easily in her purse that she can take it with her daily. Has come in handy and a great mobile option for an on the go active person.

Has great lighting, easy reading with good font choices, very lightweight and compact. Perfect for travelling and for use in all situations. Usually I need reading glasses to read books, not with this!

This device is great for reading but there is something to be desired for the touchscreen and the speed. It is painfully slow. In a day where most small devices are pretty quick, this one is not. It’s great for being so portable and the charge holds for what seems like forever.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is a great way to read you books. It's the right size to hold easily, and an excellent way to take all your books without taking the bulky hard copies. I really love it!

Purchased as a gift, layout is perfect and easy of use it just what we were looking for our mom. She enjoys downloading books herself and adjusting size to her liking as well. it was a great purchase.

This is a nifty and reliable little device. It's only for reading as the other features are sluggish but it does it's main job well - easy to use for reading books on the go.

No-doubt that it is a great product. Love it. Would really recommend. The backlight is much better than the old version I had without it. You can easily read when everyone else was sleeping in the dark.

Love this device -- I had been using an older Paperwhite, and it's so nice to have a flush face instead of a raised bezel. Makes it feel much smoother scrolling through pages. Screen resolution seems to be a bit better, as well. No complaints.

We now own three in our house, as they are perfect for traveling, reading at night, and long battery life. Purchased one for our young son and set up Amazon kids and he is loving all the books for his age.

If tou read, then a kindle is a must. Just like reading a book only better. Battery life is amazing and if you pair it with Kindle unlimited then you have all the books you will ever need.

I have enjoyed reading on my Kindle instead of the iPhone. Much easier on the eyes. No problem bringing up all the books I had in my Kindle account. Best of all it was on sale when I was ready to buy.

I was hesitant to get the Paperwhite over the Oasis but the newest edition superb. The Paperwhite has been upgraded design wise to feel a bit more high end being waterproof and a more flush bezel design which is kind of nice. Spec wise they are pretty slow in terms of tablets but considering it is a dedicated reading device it serves. Another nice thing is that they enhanced the panel to a 300ppi (pixels per inch) which is the same as the Oasis. All in all it is a ridiculous value in comparison to the Oasis. The Oasis is far over priced when it only gives you 1 extra inch in screen realistate and the aluminum chassis. Save the $150 and go with the Paperwhite.

Love the Kindle's form factor. Much easier to read a book with this device versus my iPad. Only complaint was an inability to connect to the Kindle store on the device. A hard reboot quickly fixed that issue.

My Kindle Paperwhite E-Reader was a gift from my sons for Mother's Day. I love it! The size is great because it fits into my pocketbook and all I can say is that I love everything about it.

this is a lightweight easy to read E-reader great for home or travel.

Great for reading. Easy to understand how to operate and makes reading carefree and fun again. Plus I have lots of books right at my fingertips without lugging heavy books around.
