I purchased this Kindle to replace one that had water spilled near it. I gave it to my husband for Christmas and he was pleased and I love that we don't have to worry about water.

I have wanted to purchase a Kindle E-Reader for a long time. I love reading a variety of books and have always enjoyed holding each book as I read through it. However, now that I've purchased my Kindle, I have been able to sample several books that I never would have bought or checked out from my local public library. Being able to send a "sample" of any ebook directly to my Kindle is super. My Kindle holds hundreds of books, something I never could do before. I still occasionally read paper books, but I will be reading most of my books on my Kindle!

I love the new kindle, however, it does not come with instructions so I am not able to do everything I’m sure it is capable of. I should be able to highlight text, bookmark pages among a few things. I have to look up everything to find out how to do any of the extras. Very frustrating! I am an older person so figuring out electronics do not come as easily to me & I am used to reading instructions to figure things out. It will take me longer (or may never) get the full experience of the kindle paper white.

I was thinking of this but was always the paper book guy. However this has changed my views. This is very comfortable and doesn’t make you tired reading in night

Newest generation of Kindle, much improved, easier to read. Best Buy came through again, had it in stock and received it within one day for Christmas present.

I got it because I saw some girl on the plane reading with this and I liked it that way you don’t have to carry out all your books for the trip

Got this for my wife and she loves it! We have an amazon prime subscription so she was able to connect her amazon account and have plenty of books to read!

Love the device. So easy to read on. My only knock in it is it’s price. Doesn’t feel like a $100 ereader. Feels just like my cheap nook I got years ago, just with a backlight to read at night.

My new candle has made reading a lot easier for me. I'm a binge reader so it's easy to keep multiple book on hand. The back light is also great for reading in low light.

A mobile library. This device is wonderful, especially if you read in bed at night. No more clipping a reading light to your paperback!

tried my wife's paperwhite and liked it. i tried the fire but it's too heavy and i didn't like the glare. the new paperwhite is even lighter, and i like the user interface.

I had been reading books on my IPad Kindle app. However, even with the blue light background turned off I could only read for a short period before I got eye strain and headaches. Plus, I found it impossible to read outdoors in the sunlight. The Paper white Kindle has fixed all that. In addition to it’s smaller size I can now enjoy reading anywhere. Could not be happier with the purchase. The fact that the Kindle is waterproof is just another added benefit for the beach. I would highly recommend the device.
