I LOVE THIS DEVICE! I'm a pretty avid reader and was looking for a Kindle that was larger than a standard Kindle. The Scribe was the exact size that I was looking for but also doubled as a digital notebook! I'm the person who has 12 notebooks scattered around the house for different purposes, so to have all my notebooks in one digital device is a game changer! Did I mention that I LOVE THIS DEVICE!

Writing Experience
1. Writing Inside Books
• Pros: Writing directly inside books on the Kindle Scribe 2024 is seamless. The responsiveness of the stylus is excellent, making it feel natural, almost like writing on paper. Annotations are precise, and the ability to organize notes within books is a standout feature.
• Cons: It could be improved by allowing better integration of handwritten notes into other formats or exporting annotated books directly with the notes.
2. Display and Pen Experience
• The display is crisp and perfectly optimized for reading and writing. The pen feels comfortable to hold, and its pressure sensitivity enhances the writing experience. There’s no noticeable lag when writing.
3. User Interface for Writing
• Navigating between reading and writing modes is intuitive. Having a dedicated writing space inside books makes it practical for readers who like to annotate, whether for academic purposes or personal notes.
4. Additional Features
• Handwriting recognition for converting notes into text is smooth but could use improvements in recognizing complex scripts or symbols.
• The battery life remains strong even with extended writing sessions.
Overall Recommendation
If you’re someone who enjoys annotating books directly or needs a digital solution for handwritten notes, the Kindle Scribe 2024 delivers an outstanding experience. The integration of reading and writing is a game-changer for avid readers and professionals alike.

After using the Kindle Scribe for a few weeks, I can confidently say it's a game-changer for anyone who loves reading and taking notes. The large, 10.2-inch screen makes it perfect for digital books, PDFs, and magazines, with crisp, clear text that’s easy on the eyes even during long reading sessions. The display is as close to paper as it gets, making it feel incredibly natural to read.
What truly sets the Scribe apart is its functionality as a note-taking device. The included pen is responsive, and the ability to annotate books, PDFs, or even write freehand notes is seamless. I’ve found myself using it more and more for brainstorming and jotting down ideas, as it feels almost like writing on paper but with the convenience of digital storage.
Battery life is impressive, lasting for weeks with regular use, and syncing with Amazon’s cloud makes backing up and accessing notes easy. The user interface is intuitive, and navigating through books, notes, and documents is smooth.
If you’re looking for an e-reader with a little extra – whether it's for reading, annotating, or note-taking – the Kindle Scribe is an excellent choice. It’s the perfect combination of Kindle’s classic reading experience and the flexibility of a digital notebook.

I had the older scribe version…. Wanted the new one…. So I asked Santa and since I was good, Santa came, dropped it off and went off to deliver all the other presents he still had with him! Wow…. It’s beautiful…. I love that you can read and write in any light, the 10.2" glare-free, 300 ppi front-lit display is designed for reading and writing anytime, indoors and out. And it feels like you are actually writing on paper, I can take notes, the screen is crystal clear, has built-in notebook, notebook summaries, and its true what they say: No distractions! I am still playing with it and have no plans on letting it go! Let’s not forget the premium pen that is included…. No set up or charging, all you have to do is just start writing. It’s an upgraded design from the old version, has a shortcut button, and soft eraser! Kindle NEVER disappoints me! I have always owned an Kindle and won’t stop! And talk about the color…. Metallic Jade is a beauty! I ordered the matching; leather Jade color case! I love how the high quality leather ages and develops a unique aged appearance over time; forming a patina… it’s like antique distressed leather which is my favorite! I Love My Kindle Scribe! How can you go wrong when you have a a Kindle and a notebook, all in one. Thank you to my Santa Hector (Written by Hector’s wife)

I’ve owned several Kindles over the years — the original Kindle Keyboard, Paperwhite, and Oasis — and the Kindle Scribe blows all of them out of the water.
Page turns are fast and responsive, with no lag or hesitation. The screen is crisp and easy on the eyes, even for long reading sessions. The larger display makes a huge difference, especially for reading PDFs, textbooks, or anything with more complex formatting.
What really surprised me was the writing experience. Writing on the Scribe genuinely feels like pen on paper. It’s smooth, precise, and natural and not gimmicky. Taking notes, annotating books, or jotting down thoughts feels intuitive and satisfying.
Storage is excellent. I can carry an entire library with me without thinking about space, and battery life has been outstanding.
If you’re already invested in the Kindle ecosystem and want something that feels like a true upgrade, not just a minor refresh, the Kindle Scribe is absolutely worth it. This is the first Kindle that feels like it replaces multiple devices instead of just being another e-reader, even though thats my primary use of it.

I have a paper white but I wanted a notepad too. These are great little devices and I love storing my books electronically and being able to increase the size of the print easily so I don't even need glasses to read. This one is a fun little gadget too. There are only two things that bother me about these and they are true with ALL of these little readers.
1. The processors are soooo slow. Turning the page, once your book is loaded is no problem. The writing, erasing...that's fast and responsive. But scrolling through your library is like using those old "lollypop" pad toys. click, wait, click, wait...it's maddening. And
2. if you have a lot of books, like I do, these aren't super "bookshelf" friendly. Sometimes I just want to browse and find what I want to read. You can separate audio books from kindle and you can select your categories that you've set up but, for some reason, not all of my silence fiction books show up in that category, even though they show up as put in that category on my other device. I have to go to the layout that DOESN'T separate my audio from my kindle, look for an author and then...click, wait, click, wait.
I think the price is a little high on these for the slow motion library searches but, overall, if you are just looking for something fun to read and write with and trying to clear the bookshelf wall, these are nice. A whole library on your coffee table and, once you get past the search and peck and find your book, you are golden. Same with the notebook. Once you're in, you're good.

We purchased this product to act as a virtual journal for my husband and it has been better than we hoped! Long lasting battery, excellent display, AI capabilities are exceptional! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good read or journal alternative.

This is my second kindle and the best one by far. LOVE the scribble feature and the battery life is almost unbelievable. The bigger screen is great for reading, so is the color/tone change feature. There really is not a single thing I would change on this.

I love the size of the screen on this kindle and its quick refresh rate when you turn to the next page. The green color is gorgeous and the writing experience is amazing. It feels like you’re really writing on paper. You can feel the friction on the tip of the stylus. Also, you can erase by using the eraser end and that eraser gives a bit and it too feels like a real eraser! I can go between reading my books and then writi g in the notebook section. I highly recommend this device.

The screen is easy to read in all types of light settings. I really like the writing capability. Feels like writing with a felt tip pen. I use it for audiobooks as well and works great.

Great product like the duel function, getting more use out of it since its more than just an E book reader. Going to get one for my daughter she loves taking notes and highlights in her books. Battery life is amazing as well.

Writes like paper

The writing is great. Setting up different 'notebooks' for different categories is easy. We have currently only used it for the writing function. We bought this on December 1st. It's the 26th and it's still at 92% battery off the first charge. There is a little bit of 'screen bleed'. When you go from one thing to the next, the previous thing is still lightly in the background. I was kinda disappointed in this, but it hasn't been a huge issue yet. I will update my review if it becomes a bigger issue when using this for other programs.

Love the writing on this. Feels very close to writing on actual paper. But it is not going to be able to be my everyday reader. Too heavy.

It feels like im reading a paperback or hardback book. Worth the money. Also the battery life is amazing. I can read all day and still wont have to charge the battery until the next day.

The larger size pages make it easier to read. Underlining and highlighting important passages helps me to remember and find material for future reference.
Carrying my whole library with me is amazing and keeps me entertained whenever I find a moment. I use it nearly every day.

I am very pleased with my purchase and would reccomend to any kindle fan. The screen is perfect for reading, but the writing experience cannot be beat.

This device is probably one of the most game-changing things available for people who read books and love writing notes in the margins.
With the Scribe, you can take notes anywhere on a page using your own handwriting, and it will paste it into that position of the text like it's a Sticky-Note.
The technology works well, but it takes a while to figure out how to position your writing so you can place the note in the exact location you want. Otherwise you're stuck writing a note and having it appear slightly away from where you wanted to place it.
As for the stylus/pen, it's great. The premium pen and Scribe provide a wonderful almost paper-like feel to one's writing. And the eraser is even better than a real eraser.
Before this model and software update appeared, I was stuck making notes in my Kindle books by typing them out on the keyboard, and then the moment I finished, the note would disappear and be replaced by a tiny superscript icon. It kind of defeats the purpose of leaving a note. But that problem has been remedied with this new handwritten notes technology.
Also, the ability to underline is fantastic because I have a difficult time making straight lines, but the Scribe automatically takes my squiggly underlines and straightens them out.
There are a couple of improvements that would make this a 5-star device:
1) color screen (the monochrome screen doesn't allow you to take advantage of the 4 different highlighter colors that the Kindle app offers).
2) converting handwritten notes within a Kindle book into a cleaner font. The fact that this exists in the Notebooks section of the Kindle but not within the actual Kindle books is probably an oversight.
