My first Mac...What a great computer. Beautiful screen SUPER fast Fusion drive. Easy to set up and Apple makes connectivity a breeze - Network, Printer, home sound system (air play) to other computers etc.. Windows only experience led me to have some questions and the Apple support teams are the best support people I have ever spoken with or worked with... They know their product and are happy to have you on board willing to share knowledge and experience. I look forward to learning more and taking advantage of the powerful attributes.

My late 2009 27" 1TB iMac was finally out of memory and this 2TB 5K Mac was a natural replacement. As far as side by side comparison...all I can say is WOW. Crisp and clean text and editing 4K videos (small iPhone 6s 4K shot footage) looks amazing. I would say if you are infront of your desktop for more than two hours a day then go with the 5k IMac. If you use it to check email and sync your iPhone then get a deal on the last gen non 5K 27" macs out there.

Purchased the 27 iMAC after buying and loving the 21.5 iMAC. Once I discovered how awesome, smooth and seamless this machine was I made the decision to update to the larger 27" model and went with the full blown 2 TB Fusion drive. Absolutely love the 5K display (the 4K is outstanding as well and I don't think you could really tell the difference). Having been a Windows user my whole life I'm now taking the time to get used to the MAC World, which has been great so far. The 27" 5K iMAC with the 2TB drive has a very seamless operation to it and even though it 'only' has 8GB of RAM I don't think I'll ever need more than that for what I'm using it for. As you can imagine, it seamlessly integrates with your other Apple devices, such as the iPhone, iPad etc...

This is the best computer to buy hands down. I upgraded from my MAC desktop from 12 years ago. I loved that one but could not imagine how much the new one is improved. Seriously, if you are like me you read all of the reviews and ratings, look at the other desk top computer brands and try to justify buying another brand, then you wise up and realize that this MAC is really the only choice you should make! Hope you enjoy your purchase as much as I am.

I had a laptop and wanted a desktop unit and after shopping around i decided this was the best buy for me.

I love the iMac desktop it's so clean in the lines it's easy set up and with the on screen manual step-by-step operations fantastic. Also easy connect devices.

I used my MacBook Pro for editing photos, and it always slowed my workflow down. I went and finally took the plunge on getting the desktop, and I would do it all over again. This computer is super fast for all of my editing needs. O

I bought this computer is specifically for editing video. Is very fast very responsive and I love it! The team at Best Buy were awesome. I like it so much I bought two in the same day.

I got imac27 . It is very pretty and easy to use. I love my imac. So coooooool.

I'm new to Mac computers and it took a little time but a month down the line, I LOVE my new iMac. I find something new every time I log on. It has plenty of USB ports to connect all kinds of stuff. Highly recommend this computer.

I traded the new Mac Mini in for this because the Mini couldn't handle the video editing I needed and the RAM wasn't configurable. If you are a PC user looking at this review, please do yourself a favor and just break down and purchase this iMac. OS X operates WAY more efficiently than anything that Microsoft will put out. Because Microsoft only controls the software and not the hardware, there is no way that they can predict how their OS will react to the multiple hardware setups that PC manufacturers. That's why there is so much bloatware and Windows has issues when installing programs. With Macs, the OS runs super smooth and everything works as it should, day in and day out. Even the backup process is so transparent. I use a Time Capsule and I barely notice any decreases in performance when it's backing up. You can use the Time Machine to just select a backup you wish to go to and it's done. Pros: - 5K Display - Dedicated Graphics - New Apple Peripherals Cons: - None Buy now!

Amazing screen, graphics & speed. There is a learning curve coming from a lifetime of Windows. But, worth the effort. Upgraded RAM. Had to buy from online vendor. Best Buy doesn't sell the correct type of RAM.

I switched to mac from windows in 2010 with an iMac 21.5". Since then I've purchased two macbook pro retina 13" laptops and this is my latest mac purchase. The iMac 27" 5k retina display is *magnificent*. I thought it might be too big but it's...well...fabulous. The processor and 2TB fusion HD are blazing fast. I took a picture with my hand in front of the monitor. I don't know if it truly does it justice but it gives you an idea of the size and clarity, I hope. If you like to edit photos and video I think you'd be very pleased with this computer. I might make enemies of windows users out there by saying this, and this is just my opinion, but if you're thinking about taking the plunge into macworld, and think the prices are too steep, consider this: you'll still be happy with this purchase years from now, and you won't spend hours maintaining or troubleshooting. That's my two cents. Go to your local best buy and take a look!

This iMac is the best one yet. The graphics are amazing, the processor is super fast, and although I love the new keyboard, I can do without the new magic mouse. I will be picking up the new magic touchpad this weekend. The screen is larger than I thought it would be, and the 5K is breathtaking. If you already have an iMac I would wait for a major upgrade before upgrading, but if you were waiting for a new mac then this is the one for you.

This computer is amazing. I had a 2009 model iMac. This screen will blow you away. A straight beauty!! So fast until it's ridiculous. Bestbuy made this a pleasurable buying experience. Apple dropped the ball and pushed order dates out. Called Best Buy Columbus Ga and they had one on hand. They couldn't hold it for me. I was there in 20 minutes and the manager had already pulled and it took less than 5 minutes from the time I walked into the store for the purchase to be complete. SIMPLY THE BEST COMPUTER EVER & MY BEST BUY COLUMBUS GA ROCKS!

This is the 2nd iMac I have purchased. I love the new bigger screen & upgraded to a 2 terabyte hard drive. Great product except I'm not crazy about the new magic mouse & keyboard or the placement of USB ports. You can not use the computer while charging the mouse (it plugs in on the underside of the mouse making it unusable) and all the USB ports are found on the back of the iMac monitor. There are no USB ports on the side of the keyboard like my old iMac which was really handy. The magic keyboard is also very small. Still a great product but the new changes by Apple are not so great.

Outstanding display. It is difficult to immediately see the difference between the previous model display and this one but after use for awhile one can readily see that the Reds and greens and the whole display is just much brighter and looks more alive than the previous Retina display. Processing power is excellent. The 2TB fusion drive gives the machine much of the speed of an all SSD. Machine runs very cool and adding RAM works well. This computer is a keeper. It is well worth the price.

Having drunk the Kool ade from Cupertino over 30 years ago, this machine exceeds all my expectations. The new 27" display is wonderful. The color gamut more than meets my needs for Lightroom and Photoshop work after a quick calibration with the old Colormunki.(the preset color temp is too high) The quad core processor chews through PS filters without stopping for a coffee break like my old dual core (OK, I did increase the RAM on this to 24 Gb) A PS file of over a gigabyte scrolls quickly and easily without hesitation or the Beachball of doom appearing. I know Mac users are just a bunch of worthless duffers in the eyes of the PC world, but this is a serious machine. Since I don't belong to the gaming community I do not find it's limitations in regard to that aspect of computing to be of any concern. This is a tool that can be used for work. Its speed has greatly increased my productivity. The design of the machine is also a delight. Yeah, I'm sucker for good Industrial Design and a great user interface. So the hardware has limited user upgrades available, so what. The old iMac lasted 8 years.

Fusion drive fast, works great! Easy setup, incredible large screen. Everything much faster than computer it replaced. I use Parallels for Windows apps. Works well. Only issue is it is a bit pricy. But in the end it will serve well for many years. Very pleased with purchase. Highly recommend.
