2nd generation HomePod is head and shoulders above the rest of smart speakers. Design offers a minimal footprint that fits all decors. The product design produce crisp clear sound. Quality is good enough to be used as tv speakers. Hands down my favorite smart speaker for any application.

Gets the job done. I bought the HomePod as a gift for a music lover and the first thing he noticed was how loud it was when it was first plugged in. Next thing you know he’s blasting music around the apartment and the bass is booming.

I am a consistent Apple product user. From the iPhone, Apple TV, Watch, now the HomePods! I love how it is all connected with your account. Easy set up! The sound is perfect! I love how you can use it for speakers for your tv. I was able to set it up as my own surround sound! I would have to say there is one little struggle I have had. I was rearranging my living room where I had to unplug them. When I replugged both of my HomePods were no longer synced together. I had to remove it from my account and re-add it. I’m not sure if it was a weird glitch but my advice would be when you set it up, don’t unplug.

I love this speaker! The heaviness to it kind of hinted to me it would be good. For a little thing it has a sound better than most brands except for Bose. So I would say this is a slighter economic friendly choice than the Bose which I wish I could afford but we have a clown for a president. But the Apple will do for now. If you really dig in the settings you can do some good sound customization and the volume is plenty enough.

Great sound as a pair for stereo HomePods for Dolby atmos but for the cost, a Sonos Arc or Arc Ultra beat it. Otherwise not bad. My frustration was they would disconnect from my Apple TV. It became a huge problem, so I returned them and bought a Sonos Arc Ultra.

This speaker is superb. I bought two, one alone is great sound, Apple did a great job on filling the room with sound, the bass, its deep and rich, and it doesnt sound muddy, it sounds full and immersive. Now if you pair it with another speaker, wow, its just even better. It really does fill the room with sound, it sounds like you have speakers right behind you and to the left and right of you, but these speakers are best if you are with Apple’s ecosystem, of course. That is an Appple iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac. Unfortunately it’s not bluetooth compatible, but you can play it via airplay which works like a charm. Watching movies and shows with this is amazing, I own two mini homepods and connect the two pairs together with my new HomePod pair to get a full “surrounding sound”—though its but there in terms of surround sound system, because Apple has not officially built the concept yet with the HomePods and Mini HomePods but Apple does a fine job of having all the HomePod sync together without a lag.

Overall, the Apple HomePod (2nd Generation) has exceeded my expectations. It combines exceptional sound quality, smart home capabilities, and a stylish design into a single package. Whether you're a music lover or looking to enhance your smart home, I highly recommend the HomePod (2nd Gen) as a top choice.

We needed a sound solution for a summer camper. Buying a soundbar was not an option due to space considerations so we flipped a coin as to which “smart” speaker to get. (Admittedly a weighted coin since we have duplicates of every other thing in the Apple ecosystem.)
We couldn’t be more pleased. Room filling bass (admittedly the room is in a camper so YMMV) and clear voice and sound effect reproduction. Even got my audio from my PS5 to come through with next to no effort. We are already contemplating a stereo pair of these and couldn’t be happier.

Sound quality is unmatched for a speaker of this size and price. They can be used throughout the house to project music and, if you purchase 2, they can even be used as deticated TV front speakers (directly competing with alternative soundbar + front speaker setups). My only complaint is that Siri desperately needs help. This is, for me, the most important limiting factor of the speaker, which perhaps would justify a lower price, closer to $250.

I’ve had 2 minis for a couple of years, and yes, the homepod 2nd gen is at least 3x better. Its got clearer midrange, and wow, the low end the mini lacks is full and expressive. I got so used to the minis that the lows of the homepod 2nd gen really surprised me — so glad I bought two of them. The high end is even more impressive as it completes the audio spectrum with detail, clarity, and crispness that is completely lacking in the mini. With the same music playing on the mini pair and the homepod pair in two different rooms the difference is blatantly obvious — the homepod pair is so much better. The surround audio is amazing as the 10 tweeters of the homepod pair do an excellent job of expanding the sound stage to a very pleasing degree. I really like that I can have siri, from the homepod, play music for long periods so I don’t have to stream from a device and run down its batteries, or worse, keep it charging and ruining the battery life. I had only two related issues in setting up. My original placement of one of the homepods was appx 4ft directly in front of the wifi router and appx 2ft from a philips hue hub. The home app kept showing that the homekit devices were disconnected a lot of the time. Suspecting wifi interference I moved that homepod to another location far away from the wifi and right next to a blinky light display. The homekit devices were okay then, but the homepod would randomly come on and the volume would go to max. I suspected interference from the blinky lights and moved the homepod at least 8ft away from any electronics. This did it and haven’t had an issue with homekit or audio since. If you’ve got Apple music, a pair of homepods or at least a pair of minis is a very rewarding way to play that music and preserve your devices' battery life — highly recommended.

Bought 2 for my entertainment room and they are the best speakers I've heard. Not quite apartment friendly in terms of the bass these things release, but for music and getting immersed in a movie or show these might be the absolute best option in this price range. That is if you already have an Apple TV. If you only wanted one for music at home. This is the answer.
4 star ease of use because you have to set the speakers as default speakers and they kept disconnecting until I restarted the speakers and apple tv (mind you, you have to go into settings to truly restart an apple tv).

Easy set up. Great sound. Bass in impressive; depending on the music, you may want to use the low bass option. Happy to go this route as a better sounding and less crappy alternative to Alexa

I am giving this 3 stars because the sound quality is absolutely perfect. The audio is rich, clear, and exactly what I wanted for music.
However, the user experience has been mixed. I frequently experience bugs where it disconnects from my iPhone or causes interruptions when I'm trying to use it with my Apple TV. Also, Siri is very bad and struggles to be helpful compared to other voice assistants. If you want amazing audio, this is a great speaker, but be prepared for some frustration with the smart features and connection stability.

This is such a fun and great addition to your home. Quality is enough to think “Okay, okay Apple, I see you.” My recommendation is to put it in/near a corner, so you have sound echoing up and off the walls, and you’ll be a happy camper. The button is a little sensitive and will start playing its own radio if you’re not careful, but it does a great job of connection to your devices and being easy to “see”. I connect mine to my Apple TV and have several going through my home, and it’s awesome for chill music sessions during the day, and movie night is a blast.

The Apple HomePod is small but mighty. It really has good range of sound for how unassuming it is. The bass is really good considering it isn’t an actual subwoofer. Dialogue while watching movies/shows is clear even during chaotic scenes. I love listening to music with it.
