At first the device was working pretty well with my HDMI cord and tv. Now, I’m barely able to use it, it goes in and out of video display, and I’ve replaced 3+ HDMI cords believing that was the problem. Apparently the product could be faulty. I tried to call in to see if I replace/refund the item but wasn’t able to receive any help.

Open box item. Believe adapter were used for some time it wasn’t just open box. Who ever put adapter back on shelf need to do a better job in checking items going back for sale.

Bought this for my garage home gym set up. It was a hassle getting all the stuff set up. Wheni tested it at first i thought it was working for what i wanted. But once i finally connected it to my phone I realized a lot of streaming apps don’t work using this. Kind of defeated the purposed for streaming shows in the garage so i just forked out for another apple tv instead.

We were supposed to get 3 month of Apple TV free with this purchase. We complained to the sales clerk who got the manager on duty and all he could tell us was to call the 844 number. When we call Best Buy Customer Service, they could not help us either and said to call Apple Customer service. We still don't have the service. This is Fraudulent AAdvertising to clearly state purchasing this product includes the 3 months of Free Apple TV

To be perfectly honest, it worked great the first 2 times I used it to connect my portable projector and then the third time I used it it’s starts cutting out and losing signal! NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS ESPECIALLY WITH HOW MUCH IT COST!!

It doesnt work at all tryed returning it but they woundnt take it back

The lightning connector does not plug into the opening when I use a phone protector when all others (original and aftermarket) fit without any problem.Returned.

Can work with either a lightning cable or a HDMI cable, does not work with both. Very disappointing.

The employee recommended this. It did not fit my iPad. I took my iPad with me.

Sure, the adapter projects the iPad, or iPhone, screen onto a larger. However, I wanted to send my Directv from my iPad, or iPhone, to larger screen in order to share shows with my roommates... easier for three people to view. Nope... doesn’t work. As soon as the Directv app senses the adapter it automatically shuts down. I’ve tried opening before, and after, installation of the adapter; seems to make no difference. If you just want to browse, or create/edit documents, etc. on a larger screen I would recommend. If your trying to do what I was trying to accomplish I would not buy.

Waste of money! We had an adapter for our old ipad with a 30-pin port and it worked perfectly. This one will work fine for a few minutes and then the picture cuts out for a few seconds. It comes back on but continually cuts out throughout the movie or show. It is very annoying and you can't enjoy watching anything because the picture keeps going away, the sound stays on though. We have tried it with a different HDMI cord, a different device and a different TV. After testing all of those it was over the 30 day return period so the Best Buy store wouldn't help me. POS!!!

I asked the representative at Best buy if I could use this to plug my iPad into my TV and watch my optimum app and he said absolutely. I plugged it in on two separate occasions and I got audio but no video

We bought this cord to hook the iPad to the kitchen tv and watch the news. Simple right. Well for a few weeks yes it was simple. Plug in and it mirrors the iPad simple enough. Then nothing will not work tried unplugging and plugging then iPhone and new tv? Still nothing. Bought another cable 2 month later and it was the same. Worked wonderful for about 2 months then nothing again. Very odd for a cable that was only moved to plug in the Apple product we were at the time using. Also not one cord but two? Almost wish my phone was Samsung for screen mirroring options :/. Anywho just a thought if wanting to buy this. It doesn’t last long and you will be buying new cords often.

First of all let me be honest, the product works as advertised. But as with all Apple products, you HAVE to get adapters and they are very expensive! Apple continues to make their products NOT universal so you have to pay exorbitant amounts for their stupid adapters. If I didn't get an ipad for free I would never own any Apple products!!!!

I bought this based on bestbuy.com reviews, not apple.com unfortunately. I bought this to play downloaded Netflix content on a tv and it doesn’t work. Netflix menus, chrome, everything else works fine. But only audio comes through the tv when you try to play something. According to the apple.com reviews this functionality (in Netflix and other apps) broke after the iOS 11 update and hasn’t been fixed. Don’t buy this until there are new reviews saying the bugs are fixed.

First Apple product to fail completely out of the box. However, it was replaced by Apple. Replacement is plug and play perfect.

We got rid of cable and cannot Bluetooth our phones/Ipad to our smart tv, so we thought we could connect them with this cord. Nope! Therefore, it has no purpose for us which is why I have it the low star rating.

This was an open box item and it keeps freezing my phone. I’m going to return it asap.

Not what I needed I actually took this back for an exchange

I was out of town and staying in a hotel and wanted to watch ufc I had the app and way of ordering the event just needed to connect my phone to the hotel tv. Ran to the nearest best and hurried back to hotel to watch but when connecting the screen went black or it froze. Tried multiple times and never was able to watch through the TV came home a couple days later and same thing to my personal TVs so do not waste your time
