Aside from using the migration assistant from your windows PC( Do not do this but instead take your files manually if needed from your old PC ). I made a mistake and used the migration assistant and it messed up the macOS so bad that I had to factory reset the MacBook. After that this thing only gets bogged down if you are doing a ridiculous amount of file transfers and some applications you have to be mindful that they don’t start to bleed out your memory so you should keep activity monitor open as some websites while the user is using safari can cause this but no issue as long you keep a close eye on activity monitor as if you are doing video editing you can watch the CPU usage( if you are into that type of thing) cold boot to after login screen is around 5 seconds which is impressive. You can play games don’t try to download the other game store apps and install games as Rosetta 2 probably supports the CPU side of things but not the GPU side. Games work from the Apple Store but I temper expectations since the Apple silicon been around for less than 5 years and developers are still poking at it. The only time the fans kick on is when I am playing a game but I’m sure someone who does 3D modeling would not look at this configuration. Storage is 1TB which should be enough for most people but try to get an external storage solution. The Battery life is the best battery life I have ever experienced in a laptop, I have gotten two days for heavy use and 4 days for light use. Display is nice but refrain from using a screen protector as it would increase the reflection from a light source. Glad I didn’t get the 32GB of RAM version since the only fan spinning thing I do is play a game here or there. If you own a lot of legacy devices, I suggest a dock. Overall, if you require a powerful, portable and battery efficient laptop, this is a proper choice

Was upgrading from my MacBook Pro from 2012. Great performance/speed. Beautiful display. The battery life is amazing too. I’m definitely not super knowledgeable about computers/specs and am using for browsing, some hobby laser/Cricut design stuff, and even figured out how to play some Xbox games while my partner uses the console.

Light weight, sleek design and the keyboard untouched. I love the Mac keyboard and I love this computer. Battery life very good. The size is amazing for those who do not want a large laptop. Fits in many backpacks. Got it when it was discounted but it would have been well worth the cost at full price.

This is an amazing laptop in nearly all respects. The build quality, screen, keyboard, portability are all great. The addition of the M3 Pro chip has taken an already great product and somehow made it better. Performance is great, power efficiency is great, battery life is amazing. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a 5 star is the price. While this I believe is the best spec to get unless you are a real pro user and by that, I mean you make money with your computer, the Apple tax is real and puts a damper on an otherwise outstanding laptop. If the tax doesn't bother you and you can afford it, I think you will be more than pleased with this Macbook for years.

Excellent upgrade from 2013 128gb macbook pro. Back then I was a beginner when it came to media creation. This new device equipped with 1 TB works perfect when it comes to my hefty multimedia projects. 10 years I had no idea how much storage a few apps would take up. Purchasing a more powerful lap with more ram and storage was a no brainer. The smooth exterior design is a nice touch. The battery life is outstanding. The only complaint if any would be the change from USB to USB C. Other than that this is an efficient tool for the users who are into multi media creation work.

Power and Portability: Apple's Finest MacBook Pro

From the moment I unboxed the MacBook Pro 14” with the M3 Pro chip, I knew I was in for a treat. The sleek Space Black finish gives it a sophisticated and modern look that screams premium. But it's not just about looks; the performance is where this laptop truly shines. The M3 Pro chip is a game changer, making everything from video editing to software development a breeze. The 18-core GPU handles graphics-intensive tasks effortlessly, making it ideal for professionals and creatives alike. With 18GB of memory, multitasking is smoother than ever, and I experience no lag, even with multiple apps and browser tabs open. Battery life is another area where this MacBook Pro excels. I can go through an entire day of work without needing to recharge, which is impressive given the power under the hood. The 1TB SSD is generous and quick, with blazing-fast read and write speeds that save me time every day. The display deserves a special mention. The colors are vibrant, and the sharpness is unparalleled, which is particularly noticeable when editing photos or enjoying movies. Apple's attention to detail in the display technology truly pays off here. In terms of connectivity, the return of more ports has been a much-welcomed improvement. It allows for greater flexibility and fewer dongles, which is always a plus in my book. Overall, the MacBook Pro 14” with the M3 Pro chip is an outstanding laptop that combines power, portability, and battery life in a way that few other laptops can match. It's an investment for sure, but one that pays off for professionals seeking reliability and performance. Whether you're a creative professional, developer, or just want a top-of-the-line laptop, this MacBook Pro is hard to beat. Highly recommended!

A wonderful update from the Mac Pro 13.1 inch. Speed is pretty incredible. Start up time is virtually nil, connectivity is great. Screen on the computer is really first rate. It all comes down to what’s more important computer power or weight. I have an older 27 inch iMac Pro, which in its day was a 4000 $5000 computer and this thing blows it away performance wise. I got the one terabyte drive in the 18 gigs of memory, really happy. This computer blurs the differential between a desktops system and a laptop. There is no performance loss.

Great machine. Super quick while running intensive photo editing software, like Photoshop. Trackpad was a little weird to get used to coming from a HP PC. Definitely the best laptop I've ever used. The keyboard feels great... awesome throw and overall feel. Good battery life. The iPhone mirroring thing is pretty bomb.

Upgraded from a 2015 MacBook Pro and this one has been an absolute beast with a build quality that we have come to expect from Apple. The screen is awesome to look at and the speed is just instant and ready to go. The battery is also so good. My old machine would last a few hours. So far, I have used the new machine over multiple days without having to charge. So glad I made the upgrade.

The Apple MacBook Pro 14" is a powerhouse. The M-series chip delivers exceptional performance, handling demanding tasks like video editing, 3D rendering, and multitasking with ease. The Retina display is stunning, offering vibrant colors and sharp details, which is perfect for creative professionals. Battery life is impressive, lasting through a full day of work without needing to recharge. The keyboard feels great to type on, and the addition of the HDMI port and SD card slot is a welcome return for connectivity. The processing speed is suitable for most of the multitasking jobs. The display is sharp and crisp. The return of MagSafe and HDMI port is indeed a good feature. The stand out thing is the sound quality-its deep with good base. Little heavier than usual but one gets used to it.

I’ve been using the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the Apple M3 Pro chip, 1TB SSD, 18GB of memory, and it’s been nothing short of amazing. I bought it in the Labour day sales and the performance is truly impressive, especially when running resource-intensive tasks like local LLMs such as Ollama. It handles everything with lightning speed, no lag whatsoever. The screen resolution is absolutely gorgeous—everything looks crisp and vibrant, making both work and entertainment a delight. For professionals who need top-tier visuals and fast processing, this is the machine. That being said, with Black Friday just around the corner, I’d keep an eye on the price if you’re considering it—there’s a good chance of some discounts. Unless you’re holding out for the next generation M4 chip, this MacBook Pro is definitely worth the investment!

The MacBook Pro with M3 Pro chip absolutely delivers. I’ve been using the 14” 18GB/1TB version for music production and some video work, and the performance is flawless. Apps open instantly, multitasking is seamless, and everything feels incredibly responsive. The build quality is premium as always, the display is stunning, and battery life goes all day. It’s not cheap, but if you rely on your laptop for creative work, this machine is totally worth the investment.

This is a great machine. I could see it being used by someone who does creative work such as video editing and music production. It also helps if you're on the go a lot. The display is very pleasant in both resolution and refresh rate. It may be obvious to not buy this machine if even light gaming is a priority of yours. There's a much better bang for your buck in building your own PC. MacBooks are very power efficient, hence having the best battery life on the market, but I believe that costs some power in some aspects. Like mentioned, it's a beautiful machine for creative work on the go. Additional note is that if you've used Windows before switching to Mac, you will start to miss somethings on Windows that just aren't available on Mac. For me, that was some music software and my favorite free software for photo editing called Paint.net. If you're a Windows user, you're probably better off sticking with it. Just get a Snapdragon laptop if you want good battery life (or build a custom PC for full control and customability, and the non-existent worry of being glued to a wall with a charger plugged in).
