Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the phenomenal performance and insane speed of the MacBook Pro, along with its great battery life and screen size. The design and lightning-fast SSD are also well-received. However, some customers have noted the weight and heat, and a few feel the price is a drawback.

I bought this laptop, because I was entering the realm of computer science, data analytics, and computer programming. I’ve always used Apple products and have become so accustom to Apple’s ecosystem that I wanted to learn do it all on this ecosystem. This is an amazing machine that barely breaks a sweat for the easy tasks, and can preform well if I wanted to host a local AI. Great machine, If I ever have to part ways with it I might cry

My previous employer got me hooked on the productivity benefits of a MacBook Pro, so when I left I decided I pull the trigger and buy my own. The battery life is phenomenal - I am able to work untethered to power for a day before needing to recharge when performing daily tasks such as internet, email, social media, and real-time chat communications. Rendering in applications like Adobe Premier Pro or Logic Pro X is effortless. And much to my pleasant surprise, there are now AAA gaming titles available I can play as well as I can on my Windows gaming rig. If you're needing a mobile powerhouse for rendering, development, and overall "heavy lifting", then this is a great choice. Otherwise I would encourage buyers to seek a system more aligned to their needs - this one may be overkill for most.

I’ve been using this model for about a month. Upgraded from the 2019 16” pro. I don’t think I’ve heard the fan run once, even when I’m running heavy programs simultaneously which is HUGE. It’s pretty fast, photoshop still lags a bit when working with larger documents/files. The battery life is fantastic. I do miss the Touch Ba but overall I’m loving it.

Finally, we have a desktop-quality computer such as a laptop—a dream many of us have had for decades, only now to have it. Coming from a 2017 15inch MacBook Pro, a beast in its day, now this. It's also beautiful in silver, with the contrast of the dark keyboard.

I love my new MacBook Pro with M3 Max chip. It works faster and has great storage. I am still learning about all the new things I can do with it since I just got it in late March. I also love the black color.

    Huge Upgrade from Intel 2019

I've switched over from a 2019 Intel Macbook Pro 9th gen i7 with 16gb and 5300M. For about 3 years that laptop did to me more than what Windows could offer. After hearing so much hype about the Apple Silicon being so much faster than the Intel, I figured I would try out this device. I didn't want the Pro, because I wanted to try more than the 16gb-18gb RAM range. I'd pick the 48gb model for this M3 Max if I could, but after watching the Activity Monitor in both the Memory and CPU, this device hovers at around 25gb of 36gb active memory for the tasks that I like to use. Programming+Streaming+Recording Guitar all at the same time. This laptop can compete with my desktop intel 13900k and 4090 with windows for my specific use case, so for that I have to say this laptop is worth it for me and my needs.

The SD slot is a big win for my photography needs. It's fast, beautiful, and sleek. The password touch button is also very useful—more than I anticipated. I upgraded from a 2017 macbook pro and this is a very nice upgrade.

Upgraded from a 2019 to this newest model, and wow, a world of difference! Unmatched speed and doesn’t get nearly as hot. I can handle great amount of processing with ease. Battery life is amazing. Great investment.

I upgraded from 14” M1 MBP, and this laptop is so much faster!! I use it for development and design. It is a little heavy though… it is built for power, not necessarily portability.

The service was exceptional from the Best Buy staff. The product itself is great but I cannot rate it 5stars. Over the last 10 years, I’ve contemplated getting my first MAC at 3 different times but never could commit once in store. Pricing was not an issue, but it was at the same time due to not getting as much specs compared to what you could get with windows. I finally decided to go with Mac for a more “Functionality” standpoint. I admit, the m3 max will never be used close to its potential for what I need, but I went with that to “Future proof” it for me. Hopefully I’ll get 6 years or so. I assumed it to be perfect in operation and basic navigation. Saddened a little with my experience because all I do is get on YouTube, or the internet and I see subtle lags just loading basics. This is not from an internet connection standpoint. The task bar on the bottom lags or freeze more than I would like or should. With specs like this, and by far not using the computer for much, it shouldn’t do that. Other than subtle lags I notice, it runs pretty smooth. I love the animations, the usability, the eco system, and it feels exclusive like all of Apple products I own. I would buy again but maybe not a max. If I got the m3 pro, maybe I wouldn’t have wrote a review on what I didn’t like due to the price difference and specs although, the both are expensive in their own rights.
