I had an older iPad Air 10.6-inch and purchased a Smart Keyboard for it. It was nice because it would flip around and cover the screen, but the down arrow didn't work very well, and it wasn't great for typing for extended periods. I purchased this keyboard to replace the Smart Keyboard. It works with the iPad Air, and the keys feel as good as my Macbook Pro. I used Excel on my iPad for a particular hobby, and I liked how I could use the keyboard to navigate around a spreadsheet. But I also use keyboard shortcuts, and the Fn keys don't work on Excel for iPadOS. I have since upgraded my iPad to a Pro, and this keyboard connected flawlessly to it via Bluetooth. I like the tactile feel, its reliability (it stays connected), the power switch, and the lightning cable charging (I also have an older iPhone, but I hope Apple starts moving towards USB-C for all of its charging connectors). Related to iPad OS, it connects when I turn on the keyboard and click a button to help the iPad recognize it, which causes the iPadOS on-screen keyboard to instantly hide. I also like that I can see the battery status of the keyboard on my iPad when its connected. My only gripe is related to iPadOS apps that don't utilize the Fn keys the way most computers do, but that's an issue with iPad apps, not this keyboard. To protect it when I travel, I made a fabric sleeve out of flannel, so I can toss it in a backpack without it getting scratched up.

My husband bought this along with a mouse and monitor to use with my MacBook Pro. I didn't think I would need the keyboard and would return. Boy was I wrong! I love this keyboard. It is small, but just the right size. It is light and I love the feel. So happy he got it! I had one years ago and it was not good. They have improved.

I underestimated just how small this keyboard is. I bought for my Mac mini and it’s good but it has no keyboard lift so it’s always flat which is annoying sometimes and no side number keys are frustrating sometimes. Overall it’s solid and beautiful but I’d buy a key cover so dust dirt and other debris doesn’t affect its aesthetics. Oh and the battery last very long. Haven’t charged for a month and use it about 6 to 7 hours a day easily. But it’s Apple and I feel it’s overpriced cheaper better options in my honest opinion.

This is a solid keyboard, quality as expected from Apple. You should really make sure you are okay without Touch ID on this keyboard since it's so commonplace with signing in with passwords, signing into your computer, and online payments. Though not necessary, it can definitely make the experience far more smooth and convenient. Nonetheless, the keyboard is great and uses the same mechanism as the new 2021 MacBook Pros (14" and 16"), which is a great click and feedback. Recommend but make sure no Touch ID isn't a dealbreaker.

Nice update to previous magic keyboard with rounded instead of square form. This model does not have touch id for M1 Macs. Great scissor switch tactile typing. Battery last forever between charges.

I got this keyboard because I need I use my tablet when I'm at my school campus (instead of my clunky gaming laptop). I needed something slime and portable while still being responsive, and of good quality. The typing experience is good for me, but I'm also used to more compact keyboards. I feel like this keyboard is most efficient if you know touch typing cause it has no LEDs for when its dark. Overall 10/10

The Apple keyboard is the only way to go for apple products. Love the small/sleek design. Battery life lasts for ever too it seems like. I have several for both business and personal use.

This one looks like it is going to be a lot better than his old one. Maybe this time he won't spill sticky drinks and drop it so many times that the keys fall off and go missing. Since this is not the fault of the manufacturer this keyboard it the best. Battery life is long lasting and easy to charge.

I bought this for my wife; she loves it. It replaced a Logi ergonomic keyboard. Personally, I prefer a keyboard with a numeric keypad, but this is great for use where space is limited or for travel.

This is way better than the previous Magic Keyboards. Very small & portable. Keys feel great on the fingers.

The keyboard is light and comfortable. It is super easy to type on and quiet when typing. It is also smaller which is nice if you don’t like a bulky keyboard.
