I only use a laptop at home so I needed a connector to my large screen. This works well. I went with the Apple one since both my laptop and monitor are Apple. Have had no issues whatoever!

This wound up to be the easiest answer to connecting my 20' LCD monitor. The lightening connector was to short and I already had the digital cord.

Apple makes you buy a cable to get connectivity for the laptops. High quality, but pricey for what it is.

I actually bought this one and found out that I needed something that looked identical to it, but just had a different model number. So I returned it. Never had the chance to use it, but I'm sure it would do whatever you need it to do.

If you are looking to hook your MacBook to a DVI monitor using the display port, then this is your cable. I tried a third party cable and had issues with flicker, so I replaced it with this cable and no issues so far.

This is a wonderful way to expand your screen viewing size when you have a tiny laptop screen and your eyesight wants things bigger, or you are working on multiple programs and want to see more of the windows at the same time. I just plugged one end of the adapter into my MacBook Pro, and the other end of the adapter into my external monitor's DVI port and voila! It just worked! Now I have two screens to view my data on. Easy to plug in and unplug. No hassle.

It may cost more, but it works and keeps working. In the past when I've purchased various adapters for Apple products they either don't work well, or stop working at some point.

Used this adapter to add an additional monitor to my iMac. Plug it into the iMac, and connected the monitor (Samsung) to the other end, and I now have two 21" monitors on my system.

I purchased this adapter to enable my iMac to work with my work laptop. The adapter works flawlessly and required nothing special to setup.. I'm happy with the purchase.

Yes, it is a bit pricier than a non Apple branded unit, but it dosen't have the problems they do. Seen too many of the off brand or even generic ones only do certain resolutions but not others. Sometimes when you just need it to work all the time, you do have to buy the more expensive one.

My macbook didn't work very well at the beginning with the HDMI and an external HP monitor but after getting this it has been working perfectly fine!!! And it looks great

The adapter works well. The design is nice and allows you to secure the dvi cable with the screws. No issues getting it to work at all. Price isn't horrible either.
