I love this adapter. It allows me to run my MacBook Pro with dual monitors. I often run multiple OS's through parallels so having each OS displayed on separate screens is a huge convenience for me.

Has suited my needs you date. Will continue to use for a long while.

This adapter is necessary if you are going to send video or a presentation to a projector or tv. I have several that I have bought over the years. Each one has performed flawlessly.

Got a newer MAcBook PRo and needed a new video adpapter for presentations. Simple plug & play, no issues with the video with different monitors or projectors. Handy accessory.

Overall it's awesome! I would get it if you need it. I wouldn't go for the off brands. I don't think their qualities are that high.
