Good cameras. The quality is good and images are fairly clear. Although you need to charge them very frequently.

Unless you want to climb a ladder every three days to them plug your camera in to charge for hours and hours then this is the camera for you! this is my second camera because the first one wouldn’t even charge anymore after we had a rain storm which these cameras specifically are meant for outdoors. the new one the battery has only held a charge for three days when advertise hold battery life for at least two months even at max usage. I’ve contacted Arlo and they inform me it’s because of my power adapter that I’m using which is a 5V. 3A not a 5v 2a. I was told my 3A was a fast charger, which it is not and so therefore that is affecting the battery life. Which makes no sense because I use the exact same power adapter to charge my Arlo essential first generation spotlight outdoor camera and it is still maintaining its battery life atxa normal rate. like I said, I’ll probably return this camera. As far as the video quality it’s nice. I can’t complain.

We’ve had Arlo cameras before and find these very good but must adjust to not let the batteries run down so quickly. The price was great.

Work well even without the Arlo subscription, easy set up

I love the picture quality, it is its best feature. It is super easy to program and install, I recommend Arlo to everyone. I have tried several other surveillance cameras and I always return to Arlo.

I originally bought these thinking I would use them with the Google Home app and they do work with it. The only issue I have is that there is no notification when someone is in its zone. They're great if you just want to use the Arlo app and you want to pay for the service but you already have Google Home just get the Nest cameras.

First off the night vision on these cameras are awful. You literally need the flood light on the cam itself just to be able to see 2 meters out. I also have several outdoor ring stick up cameras on my property and compared to the Arlo essential the ring stick up cam beats it by a mile. On the Arlo when you click to access the cameras it has at least a 5-7 second lag and thats with excellent wifi signal. Compare that to the Ring stick up cam which is only 1-2 second lag when looking at live video. Also batteries dont last long on a full charge. Before setting them up outdoors i charged them all to 100 %. After 5 days one is already down to 30% charge and another is down to 10%. It’ll depend on how much those cameras activate when sensing alot of motion. Now compare that to my ring cameras that last 3 months on a full charge. I bought these only sale for $199 and i actually feel like i got ripped off even at that price.

Hi
Thank you for your review. The delay you are experiencing is normal behavior. A slight delay is expected as the camera must communicate with the Arlo cloud when live streaming. For further assistance, please navigate to Settings > Support in the Arlo App for service options available to you.

I have only had the cameras for about a month. They work very well. The only drawback is they don't constantly monitor to the screen. The only monitor when activated by movement. The reception picture is wonderful from all four cameres.

I had not had any experience with wireless cameras until I got these. They are working fine, but pretty worthless without getting Arlo’s plan or some other way of recording the video. In our case, the best internet we can get out here in the country is a WiFi hotspot jet pack which is limited. It will work with a plan, but you will have to connect it to a wired router which is not available to us to use a hub or another recording device. Also seems to use a lot of our limited internet!

I’m extremely frustrated with the Arlo Outdoor 2K camera. I absolutely do not recommend it. You can only record if you pay for their overpriced subscription. Without it, this camera does absolutely nothing because it has no micro SD card slot — zero local storage. Basically, if you don’t subscribe, the camera is useless. On top of that, their subscription is one of the most expensive on the market. This feels like a total money grab.
Thanks for your review. We will share your feedback to the development team. We also want to let you know there are some features that are still available without an Arlo Subscription. You can read more about it here: https://kb.arlo.com/000062312.
