It's a great modem/telephone/router. If you get it before you get your Comcast service set up, then it's fairly easy. However, if you are replacing a rental unit, it's quite a bit more challenging. Plan on being on the phone with them a while.

Much better than Xfinity provided router

After trying several combo router modems with voice from Xfinity, I opted to buy my own. Since I have Xfinity voice, the selection of compatible devices was slim, but this one seems to be doing the job. I've just had to reboot it once or twice since owning it, rather than every other day with the Xfinity provided device.

So far it works very well and seems faster than the previous Arris model that it replaced. Phone service works too. Price though was high. $40 more than the same unit was last year.

The router is very easy to set up and use. It is a bit bulky but blends in well with its surroundings. I have no complaints with the product, however, I do wish it worked with the Xfi features of turning off specific connected devices during certain times.

I bought this as a recommendation from my sales person . It does work well. I have a small condo st the beach. 1,000 square feet and it cover the entire property and the deck. I can even get my signal at the boat dock and the pool . Range seems to be good.

I purchased this wireless router with cable modem to avoid the monthly charge assessed by Xfinity. The router/modem works as well if not better than the router/modem that I would receive if I paid a monthly rental fee and was cheaper than the monthly charge for a 2-year commitment.

I was planning on upgrading my modem to AC- plus save some money. I contacted the company and worked through Comcast to get the new modem activated. Once activated works like a charm - more than satisfied -Plus it seem to be faster than the old modem and haven't noticed any lag time

This was a great investment. It will save me 168.00 a year in lease fees. Replaced my xfinity router/modem. You will need tech support fro xfinity and possibly Arris. But still a great purchase. Works great.

The modem was easy to set up and use. So far, it has worked as expected. The only downside is that the number of ISP's that it will work with is limited. Prospective purchasers should contact their ISP before purchasing to ensure that it will work with their service.

I purchased this product to replace the rebuilt, unreliable modem/router that was being provided by Comcast. Even the personnel in the Comcast store confirmed that the units they were offering were rebuilt and just one category above garbage. I need reliability and this product has provided exactly what I needed.

Works really good except for the wireless TV with Comcast. Advertises as Comcast compatible, but because of a security issue between Arris and Comcast, Comcast will not support the wireless TV MoCa part. One of the reasons I bought. Disappointed, so check with local carrier before buying. Arris blames it on Comcast. Comcast says Arris will not institute security features Comcast wants. Arris should not be advertising as Comcast compatible but they do! When challenged, Arris told me it works for everything else so I should be happy especially since it is Comcast's fault. So much for customer concern! Had it not already been hooked up and programmed it would have been returned and Arris told where to stick their non-compatible compatible modem.

Purchased the ARRIS - SURFboard AC-1750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router with 24 x 8 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem to avoid paying the rental fees. This modem is compatible with Comcast Xfinity services and I've had no problems since installation. I'm happy with this purchase.

I bought it to replace a paid cable modem and a home router in order of improving the I door service and meet comcast claims. I'm getting what I was asking for. Getting comcast speed in the house as requested and expected. The only down side. It's a bit expensive to my opinion.

A little pricey but it was one of the few modem&router combo that worked with our provider xfinity and the bundle we purchased. Good investment overall. Cheaper than having to rent one from xfinity for 1 year and we have a 2 year contract with them. So definitely saving money overall.

I want to recommend this product. But I can't give a total thumbs up. My issues may be related to Comcast but a conclusive diagnosis remains elusive. I bought this to replace the almost identical modem leased from Comcast. Cons: 1- without Comcast, MOCA doesn't function and Comcast won't help (apply firmware) 2- certain unidentifiable circumstances cause the GUI interface to behave very very very slow. Arris support - blah! 3- either the modem struggles with Netgear Orbi or vice versa, either way not good 4- can't use Xfinity features (if desired) 5- Stability. Here again the issue may be with Comcast but neither Comcast nor I can determine why one moment performance rocks and seconds later performance tanks (speed). Some times there's a outright stall. Pros: Features Speed when stable Router Telecom
