I installed the Arris Surfboard 1900-AC at my father-in-law’s house to replace an older MODEM. The installion was easy and did not require any phone support from Xfinity. I did a speed test before and after the installation and found I improved the download speed at his house by nearly a factor of 2. I also took the opportunity to install a UPS to support this MODEM and an Arlo base unit. I have found that installing a UPS with a cable MODEM significantly improves the reliability of the MODEM. I hardly ever have to reboot them when they are on a UPS. I have found that without a UPS, power fluctuations can cause far more problems that require a reboot to fix.

This cable router works great. It's been 2 weeks since I bought it and hasn't had any hiccups. I have spectrum as my provider and this router was easy to set up. I was renting a router from spectrum for $5 a month, but decided to buy my own since I'll pay more renting then buying one.

I was used to the sort of setup it would take to get the product running at optimal levels, which is a beast of a machine when you get it running right, that runs as a modem, and a router at the same time as I have between 4 and 7 devices running off of my wifi at various times with this machine, and even though I'm paying for 100mbps wifi, my main desktop computer is clocked at 180 mbps on speedtest.net. It handles everything I've thrown at it so far.

It was easy to set up the device. It's works on all my devices.The wireless is very fast and the Ethernet work great on the cox high-speed network.It easy to hook up my wireless print and set up my network....Over all i say am so happy with decide to choice this modern! I been having it for a day now no problems to speak about hoping it stay that way. An it work good with my cell phone and google cast with no no problem with link them to my network et.... the cost was over 200 but got the price matched that best buy offer. either way i think it work the easy cost because i don't think i need another anytime soon. . always be on the look out for prices and research on a idea! one last thing the replace plan is worth getting just in case something happens!

I've been more than satisfied with this Arris Surfboard. I bought it to replace the cable providers modem. It has exceeded my expectation in range and reliability.

At first I bought a less expensive one but I went back to the store to exchange it with the best one. The unit has download speed of up to 686 Mbps, 4 Ethernet ports and 2 UBS ports. That way, I don't need to upgrade it down the road in which it will cost more time and money. Very happy with the product.

Seems to lose the signal occasionally , But I haven't determined if it is the router or the provider. it's appearance is 10 times better than rented one from provider. looks great in out office.

An excellent product that exceeded my expectations. I recommended to some of my friends and they are planning to get the same soon.

Works beautifully with my xfinity cable system. I connect to all of my devices without any problems.

Pros: Color LED indicators. The white look clean but would like in black as an option. Cons: Had drop issues & items not being able to connect. Returned for a Net Gear Nighthawk C7000

Great speeds but poor connectivity throughout a small house even after setting the bandwidth to 80 MHz on the 5GHz band and 40 MHz on the 2.4GHz band with acceptable levels of interference. Seems to have trouble going through walls even at short distances, the same walls that a mid-class rental linksys had no problem with. If you need high speed but aren't willing to invest in a seperate router and modem for better signals then this is a decent combo unit.

Purchased this to replace an outdated cable modem and run the Arlo security camera system. It has very good range, looks sleek, fairly simple to set up. This has sped up out connectivity and range in our home. Basement to second story and well as about 300' radius camera system all working well.

I purchased the Surfboard SBG6900-AC to replace a cable modem and separate router. The Quick Start Wizard does an excellent job. I did try to tweak my setting and that was not a good idea. I started over and with only a very few changes have had excellent and reliable coverage. With my old router, I had to use an extender in our family room. I have COMCAST's Blast Internet. As can be seen from the SpeedTest I just ran, I am getting an outstanding download rate. I have seen only one outage lasting 35 seconds since my final setup. This could well have been do to other factors and not the Surfboard.

Based on renting a cable modem from my internet provider (Comcast), this unit pays for itself in slightly less then two years. Comcast had been nudging me to upgrade my 8 year old unit. After much research I purchased this unit. It is so fast. I have had the unit now for 3 or 4 months and it works great. The install was a little tricky on Comcast/Windows side of things. I had to add Comcast's activation websites to Windows "Trusted Sites" list to get through the self install/activation. But I was able to activate this unit with Comcast WITHOUT calling Comcast tech support. Good coverage in my medium size home. No buyer's regret, I would purchase this unit again and recommend it.

I've used this for over 7 months now with no problems. Cheaper units would not penetrate the inner structure of my house. I've lost dead spots and get a usable signal in the front and back yard. Easy to set up. Only reason I gave 4 stars, I would buy the top of the line product from now on. But no worries after 7 months and I don't pay Comcast for a subpar modem/router.

Replaced a leased time warner cable modem and a belkin router that dropped wifi alot. Very happy. Easy to install and set up. Faster than both and no problems yet. Connect 4 samsung smart tvs, several laptops and 2 samsung galaxy s5 phones...no problems or dead spots in house.
