It’s a great game for who likes a single player. Uncountables missions and come back the old style Assassin’s Creed.

I've played all the Assassin's Creed games minus the spin-offs and Assassin's Creed Origins is one the of the best of in the series. It compares to the likes of Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood, and Black flag. Graphics: I have a PS4 Pro and the graphics are amazing on a 4k TV. Not as good as Horizon Zero Dawn's graphics but it comes close. Gameplay: The combat has been revamped is more akin to The Witcher 3 then the Batman Arkham games which in my opinion is for the better. Positive changes made to the game is not having to hold down the right trigger to run and being able to freely aim and move with a projectile weapon (the bow and arrow in this game) just by holding down the left trigger. This was not possible in the previous games. Swimming has improved and the character is now able to dive and explore under water. The free running (parkour) is pretty much the same as the previous games. Basic RPG elements from previous Ubisoft games like the Division, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Far Cry have been applied to this game. There is a skill tree to unlock new abilities which is earned by completing mission, side mission and defeating enemies. Also there is a loot system for different weapons and sheilds. Weapons, shields and armor can be upgrade by collecting materials. The eagle vision has been removed and is replaced with an actual eagle who can be controlled to survey an area to mark enemies, location, activies, etc. Also there are a variety of animals that can be hunted. Many of which will attack the player if approached or provoked. The map is huge, beautiful, and varied!!!! There is plenty of activities and random to do so the world does not feel empty. The negative things I have to say about the game is the AI isn't really that smart and stealth mechanics need to be improved. The stealth is decent but for a game about assassins, being stealthy it is not as fun as just running straight into battle. Being in combat can get tense from being surrounded by multiple enemies who are aggressive especially on the higher diffculty settings. Stealth scenarios for me usually turn out with me waiting in high grass, a bush, or hay while waiting for the enemy to pass by to assassinate. Ubisoft should have the developers of Splinter Cell work on the stealth. Story: As for the story, I really enjoyed it and was better then expected. If you want to know about the story then..................play the game or watch it on youtube. I don't like spoilers and would not want to spoil it for anyone else. Conclusion: With everything said this is a great game and is definitely worth a buy.

I've been a long time Assassin's Creed fan since 2007. I have seen the series ebb and flow with creativity. Black Flag was one of my favorites because it offered a new approach to the locations. AC Unity was painful to play. AC Syndicate was an improvement from the previous installment but at that point, I felt that annual series had reached its peak. Ubisoft took over a year off and delivered Assassin's Creed Origins. This game is amazing and welcomes veterans and new gamers to the series. The Eygpt setting is ASTOUNDING! This is why we game. I love that the overhauled the gameplay. No more accidentally clinging to a wall when you meant to go the opposite way. The combat keeps you on your toes by forcing you to pay attention to the enemies that come at you at once rather than lining up to attack you. The weapon system is more of an RPG approach but not intimidating like some might think. And the story? Well, the story is really good and gets deeper the further you progress. AC Origins pushes the player to explore areas. I felt excited whenever I discovered a hidden wall entrance that led to Ability Points or treasure. And the details! No matter what system, you will be impressed with the visuals but there's an added bonus when you play on a system that allows for the higher definition experience. Assassin's Creed Origins is one of those game that defines this generation of gaming.

I've been playing the Assassins Creed series from the beginning, only having missed the "Rogue" entry being on last gen systems. Up until this point Revelations and Black Flag had been my favorite installments with fantastic storytelling and intriguing gameplay mechanics. When I booted up Origins, the first reaction I had was wow there is a overwhelming amount to do in this game. The sprawling map has been separated into different "provinces" that all have an RPG like character level suggestion. It allows the player to choose their own direction along with a great risk/reward aspect in adventuring to secret tombs, hidden animal lairs and taking on enemies that are a higher level than you. So far after about 16 hours in the story has felt like a slow drip of information getting you to care more about the characters (main story and side quests) then the overarching narrative. I look forward to seeing where they take the present day storyline at the later stages of the game. As with some previous Assassins Creed games I've seen lots of comments and reviews mentioning bugs and glitches. Thankfully I've been fortunate, playing on my PS4 Pro, and haven't had any game breaking bugs, or crashes. The largest extent has been some slow-down and frame rate hiccups during cutscenes. Gameplay itself has been smooth and excellent. The heavier elements of RPG and Loot based gear has been an absolute joy for me being a big fan of the Borderlands and Destiny franchises. Now granted, the loot in this game isn't on the same level as those mentioned, but hopefully it's a reward system they decide to continue with in future games. Also the expansive skill tree has been a delight, really allowing you to tailor Bayek into the style of assassin you enjoy playing as. Seeing an enemy Fort and being able to tackle it any way you want with your diverse skill-set has never felt better in the series. Lastly the new combat system. It's slower, more brutal and definitely more "janky" then it has been in previous games, but I've actually appreciated the change. It makes fighting certain enemies and "bosses" feel more like a Dark Souls game then a "QTE" choreographed dance from this action genre. After a few hours once you start to get the hang of the different weapon classes and new abilities, you'll enjoy taking down each Phylake bounty hunter you encounter. At the end of the day if you haven't been a fan of the Assassins Creed franchise in the past, this might actually be the best one to dip your toe in and try. There are certainly better true RPG's on the market right now but Ubisoft has done an amazing job taking great pieces from multiple genres and creating a wholly unique and engaging open world game. The setting, characters, side quests and atmosphere are all top notch, and I'll be spending hours upon hours in this virtual desert for the foreseeable future.

I've played all AC games and without a doubt, this is the best. It not only lives up to the hype, but the sense of living in a long ago time is unmatched. The combat, story, leveling up, attention to details...everything is masterfully done. What's more is that it's truly stepped over the line into an RPG-like simulation giving you a spectacular sense of freedom. And the visuals are incredible especially on a PS4 Pro with a 4K TV. But ultimately what does it all matter if it's not fun? Well, this is fun beyond belief with countless OMG moments both in working through a quest or randomly out in the wild. I really can't recommend this enough. As a huge fan of the series, this is by far the best AC and an incredible taste of what could come next.

Becoming a massive RPG in this installment, Assassin's Creed is back with a host of new gameplay systems. The world is massive and beautiful, the story and characters are interesting, and the amount of content will keep most busy for at least 50-60 hours.

This game is beautiful, has great gameplay, large maps to explore, and plenty of side missions to keep you busy for some time. The story is good and keeps your attention. The combat system has been updated so if you remember the older games and how they played, this won’t feel the same there. I guess that is my biggest complaint so far.

I'd given up on the AC franchise after Unity and Syndicate severely disappointed me but decided to give Origins a try after the rave reviews I read everywhere and boy am I glad I did! The world is HUGE and the story is great. The gameplay feels familiar but upgraded. Overall, Origins is one of the best AC games released so far.

The Assassin's Creed: Origins games have seen some rough waters over the past couple years. Black Flag was loved by fans but Unity and Syndicate were not. When Ubisoft decided to go with the 2 year plan of releasing games, people weren't sure what would come out the other end of the dev cycle. I'm happy to report that the 2 year cycle was just what the assassin ordered and Origins is a fantastic game. Set in ancient Egypt, you play as Bayek, an Egyptian men embroiled in a quest for revenge over the death of his son. Throughout the game, you'll see that things aren't quite as they seem and there are a lot of shadowy figures pulling strings influencing the lives of every day Egyptians. The combat in the game has been completely revamped from previous entries and the RPG mechanics added are a welcome addition. If you have enjoyed Assassin's Creed games in the past, definitely check this one out. There is a lot of fun to be had exploring ancient Egypt and Bayek's story will both captivate and entertain throughout dozens of hours of gameplay.

The production team did a wonderful job with this title. The story line as all of the games in the franchise is amazing. More freedom to explore an open world of Egypt. Fantastic game play and a new combat system that doesn't disappoint. Definitely worth adding to a collection.

There is something truly refreshing about a franchise that isn't afraid to drop everything that once made it great and start afresh. That's what they have done here. There is little to no climbing or parkour. No boring assassin stuff. Just a huge world to explore and a great leveling and combat system. The combat is Dark Souls lite. Every weapon behaves differently and the legendary weapons have incredible perks like instant charge, sleep on hit and automatic counters on heavy attacks. It's kinda clunky at first but you get used to it. great step in the right direction. The world is full of question marks like in Witcher 3. You can explore, run into side quests and just have fun leveling up and getting new gear and abilities. its fantastic. story is great with some fantastic missions.

Following a series of disappointments in the series, Assassin's Creed: Origins is a new beginning and a good game. It is graphically amazing, the story is fantastic, and it has a very epic feel. The controls take some getting used to, but overall it's a great return to form for the Assassin's Creed series.

AC origins took a year off of development and that is shown here. The games new approach to the RPG styled games is the highlight of the game. The recreation of Egypt simply looks flawless and beautiful. The story line starts off good then unfolds into something magical. It's obvious here that the team behind AC origins has played Horizon Zero Dawn and The Witcher 3. I'm aware some people may use the story line as a con but lets not forget that the amazing Witcher 3's story was about Geralt finding Ciri (his daughter) but then unfolded into something magical that we all know and love today. AC Origins is a definite day one purchase for me and I highly recommend this purchase. Happy assassinating, Assassins.

I've played all of the mainline console AC games since the beginning. This is the first one to truly impress me since Black Flag. It's like Ubisoft took things that are cool in some of their other games and combined them all into this new AC. it's got the crafting and skill tree from Far Cry 3/4. It's got the drone (eagle) from Wild Lands. They created a pretty vast open world that reminds one a little of Red Dead Redemption and a side quest system that takes cues from the Witcher 3. Overall this is probably the second best AC game of all time in my opinion. Bayek and Aya are very cool, likable characters. My only complainant is I wish there was more Aya because she is rad. Good work, I hope this signals a change in future AC titles.

The game is a bit different from the previous assassins creed. It almost feels like he is not part of the assassins at all. You don’t see much of the whole assassins cult and they don’t tie that in to the story very much. No more eagle vision, now you have an actual eagle. Even as far as the ritual where they cut the finger off is different in this game. It is still a great game though. The graphics, lighting and the scenery in this game are amazing. The map is huge, and there’s always little side quest to complete in every new area you find. You can go hunt now for materials to upgraded your weapons. Overall I’m pleased with it.
