This PC is smoking fast. 7 seconds till it asks you to log in with your password. A minute later, or less, and it's ready for action. But, it is encumbered with either Windows 8 or 10, which I don't like, and which causes some problems here and there with some software and some hardware. Not ASUS's fault, but Microsoft's for constantly changing the Windows interface and making things more complicated by hiding stuff that we used to be able to find easily. The one thing I don't like about this machine is the misleading description of a "lighted keyboard". I was hoping each key would be illuminated, making the keys easier to see. But, the keys themselves are not lighted. There is only some reddish light shining through in the background, under the keyboard. It's more of a gimmick. It doesn't make the keys any easier to see. In fact, you'll need an outside source of light to be able to see the keys clearly. Also, I hate it that I have to press the Function key before hitting the volume buttons up or down. That means using two keys (and two hands) each time you want to change the volume. Why can't ASUS program the volume keys to control volume by themselves, without needing the Fn key? Hewlett Packard (HP) laptops can do this. But, hey, it's still a fast machine!

For a 17" laptop under $400, frankly, I had low expectations. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by this Asus. The screen is great, the keyboard action is nice and it is relatively fast for how I use it--With Word, Excel, and browsing the internet. I'm not editing videos or playing graphic intensive games on it, so those might run slow but that's not why you buy this computer. I am a bit concerned about the plastic housing on it, but it is probably no worse than most computers. We'll see. After a month of ownership, I am happy with my purchase.

Screen is large. Boots pretty fast. Windows 10 is nice. This a solid product for the price -- not the best, but very good. Recommended.

I bought this laptop for my 9 year old. For the typical Internet research and pc mine craft gaming this laptop works great! She loves it and for the price, I like it too.

The lap top computer I decided to buy (17,3 ASUS) furnished me with a good sized screen. For a senior as I am I have found it quite easy to adapt to. Some portions of the operation were helped immensely by the Geek Squad but it is a pleasure to use this computer and I feel quite comfortable with it even though it has been less than month since I bought it.

Good value- large screen - number pad -Optical drive USB3- HDMI- VGA - Huge storage. Odd that the HDD is divided into two partitions (400 & 600) on delivery, but handy. I3 CPU is a tad slow booting and loading apps using windows 10. Once loaded all works great. Good desktop replacement for web and office work. Large.

I recommend this computer to all. I like large screen. the asus lap top seems to last a long time. it is easy to use. seems to hold battery for a reasonably good time. the screen color is easy on the eyes. if I purchase another computer for my office assistant, I will definitely purchase this same computer for her. I had a hard time deciding wether a desk top or lap top...I know now my decision on this asus lap top was the perfect choice!

I purchased this laptop for the size. The only downside is the keyboard. The space bar doesn't work very well. The keys stick also. It makes it very difficult to type. I have to punch really hard.

Excellent computer ----excellent price ! This computer is easy to use and windows 10 is fun to learn. Love the 17 inch screen and Cortana is a plus! Went in to buy a Dell and found this with all the same features for much less.

Good inexpensive laptop for the price, big screen, light enough to carry, but no scrolling option on finger pad, you have to use the arrows to scroll down page.

Great sound, good display, well worth the price. Not so happy with the mouse controls, seems a little too sensitive. Fast performance surfing, watching videos.

My old computer stopped working and I need something fast and with lot of storage capacity for photos and music. This computer is perfect for my needs.

Got this Laptop for my son, to get him off our computer, for him to do his school work. Working very well, large screen, quick and lots of memory.

Screen size is awesome.... Sound is very good... she mainly uses it for internet and watching movies.... works perfect for her

Excellent product. The keyboard is comfortable, pretty fast, not heavy and have a lot of space in the hard drive. The screen size is very good for movies and work with MS Office.

Asus sells a 4.5 star computer with this one. No problems with set up, internet connections or adding our own programs such as Microsoft Office. Windows 10 is simple enough to learn and Cortana is very helpful if you need help finding something on the computer. Our only con would be that there is only one sensor under the space bar so you need to hit it in the center or a little heavy for the "space" to appear. But, for as good as this inexpensive computer is, we consider it non-issue. Highly recommend this computer.

Love this 65 inch Vizio! Easy set up great buy! The picture is outstanding! Sound is great too! Upgraded from a 52 inch and it was a great choice! We plan on wall mounting it but it still fits perfect on its stand!!

I have an Asus & love it. My granddaughter needed a new computer so went to Best Buy & found the Asus on sale for a great price which made a wonderful Christmas present & she loves it

Initialization was very easy. Everything worked or loaded as it was supposed to on the first use. I have had the laptop for few weeks and it performs nicely for basic computing, e-mail, web connectivity. 17 inch screen and resolution is good. Grand children have also used the computer for games. No complaints from them. 6Gb memory is a plus for a computer in this price range.
