Customers highly value the performance and speed of this gaming desktop, frequently praising its graphics capabilities and fast boot times thanks to the SSD. Many appreciate the included storage and find the setup process straightforward. However, some users note that the fan can be quite loud, suggesting potential improvements to the cooling system.

I purchased this PC a few days ago hoping to give it a glowing review; unfortunately it has some major build issues that prevent me from recommending it.
I initially was drawn to this unit because the stock pictures advertised a liquid cooling unit. These photos are not correct, as the cooling unit appears to be a stock heat sync fan mounted directly to the CPU. It is loud, annoyingly loud, even as I sit here with a single web page open and no other applications running. If I start gaming or streaming, it gets much louder. The second advertising issue is more aesthetic. The stock photos show slick black and grey wiring on the inside of the case, this is also wrong. The wires are a mix of red and yellow which creates an ugly contrast with the rest of the case. Those major gripes aside, the PC runs fine, but they take a significant chunk of the value away for me personally. I'll have to spend more money and time upgrading them, which defeats the purpose of buying a pre-built PC in the first place.
As for performance, the ASUS performs as can be expected for a model with it's specs. Every new game I have runs at a smooth 60+ fps on ultra or high specs at 1080p without issue. The ASUS Armory is a good edition and is a relatively easy to use application that shows real time performance and usage stats, though most may just use it to change the color of the case. Speaking of the case, it comes with a transparent side panel which I hesitate to install until the internal components are replaced, but it's a nice piece to have all the same. Plenty of USB slots on the front and back, and a nifty removable tray for transferable storage units.
Overall this is a okay PC if you can find it on sale and if the noise doesn't bother you. If you're going to be doing video games or rendering, the stock CPU fan will get annoying and you will need to upgrade to a liquid cooling unit. Unfortunately; this PC falls short at the asking price in my opinion, and I cannot recommend it.

Dear Austen,
Indeed, it is a decent PC. Do understand your disappointment with the quality of the product you received and the inconvenience this may have caused you.
The GL12CX comes in different variants. The besyBuy model was advertised as air-cooled, not water-cooled. And the power supply cables are not in black and gray, rather in multiple colors.
Should you need further assistance with the product, please email me at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to help.
Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.

Rodel ASUS Customer Loyalty

So I bought this with my stimulus check cause I thought I was going to be bored but I still had to work. I haven’t had a gaming pc since 2014 so it was nice.
After awhile I got greedy and wanted to make upgrades. Which this PC makes impossible almost. The case is so tight and has so much unnecessary metal. It also has one 80mm fan in the back but room for 2 more 120mm fans which I had to take the plastic front cover off and the top plastic off to upgrade. One 80mm case fan didn’t cut it for me. I didn’t realize how small this case was but I managed to:
- upgrade the PSU from the 500w proprietary model to a Corsair 750w modular one. Which was a super tight squeeze.
- upgraded to a 2080 super from the original one.
- added a liquid cooling pump to replace the stock heat sink for the cpu
- upgraded to 32 GB of the Corsair RBG ram.
I should have just built my own but I didn’t think I was going to invest so much time into using it. The 2060 limited my ability on graphics in some games like shadow of the tomb raider. The cpu fan was so loud I couldn’t stand it so I looked for a liquid cooling option.
Overall not a bad pc but some of the parts are kinda cheap to keep costs down. People who wanna make upgrades be beware.

I have played over 150hrs on this system already. I am very happy with this Asus. Handles all games with ease, fan will kick on every now and then can be a little louder than some people like. But that's what you need to keep this monster cool. No dips in the FPS, holds steady for great gaming experience with the 6GB gpu. More USB and graphic ports than you'll need. The 256ssd and 1TB drive are plenty. Highly recommend for gamers! Wasn't too pricey and isn't cheap either. Has awesome customization interferface with hotkeys to change or monitor the performance of the ram, processor clock and GPU.

For my first gaming PC this is a decent system. Can be better with a few upgrades.
The i7 9700f is a great CPU and perfect for this application.
The CPU cooler is a stock intel cooler not a AIO as the picture states (I dont blame Bestbuy for this its more manufacturer)
The motherboard is a propritary z390 board specifically made for this machine. And will only feature a single 12v rgb header No 3pin 5v.
There are plenty of usb ports on this thing the only thing missing is a USB type-C port.
the RTX 2060 turbo is capable enough to run about 90% or better of games at ultra settings, all tho the thing will get LOUD being a blower style card.
Boot up time is blazing fast from off to windows 10 home edition due to the 256 nvme ssd. Just make sure you install your programs on the 1tb hdd or it will fill up fast... there is also a spot to install another.
Cable routing in this system could have been better in my opion but considering its a mass produced build its done decently.
The only case fan is a 80mm rear fan altho the case itself has two more spots for 120mm fans. one on top and one in the bottom front of the case.
the case itself is more black than gray and i wish they would have spent the possibly extra 5$ to powder coat the inside of the case to match the exterior especilly since this has a optional plexiglass side pannel.

This system did not come with bloatware which is awesome. Easy to setup and get going. I only use this as a platform for gaming and nothing else as I already have another system set up for transactions. I would recommend that you install an A/V product regardless of what you are using it for. I only wish that the GPU was a 2080 vice the 2060 but I already have a 2080 so it was easy to swap out. The cooling system is fan based so it can get a little loud but if you are using a good headset like the Arctis Pro then you won't hear it when it spins up.

I don't get why people are upset about the fan. I don't notice it. This PC was super quick to set up and came with no bloatware. Majority of the time I am doing school work (yay quarantine) but when I do game the beast don't hold back. I'm hoping to get Oculus in the future and really test out the capabilities.
I could not be happier with this purchase. Thanks IRS for stimulating me.

This is a solid mid-range gaming system. I actually am hesitant to use mid-range as this unit is slightly better than I'd expect for the money and the convenience of not building myself. As others have noted it is air-cooled and noisy. A simple enough replacement. You also have to live with well-arranged but colored cables and unpainted metal if you put the clear side panel on. None of that is a deal-breaker for me that I'm going to get upset about given the price vs performance.

This machine is a beast compare to my older laptop. Runs every game in ultra without a hassle. Design is sleek and robotic just like ASUS. Overall, it is a great desktop. The fan is crazy loud when running other application instead of gaming which I have no idea why.

For my very first gaming PC it's performance is very well. There isn't that much RGB lighting, but realistically I thought it came liquid cooled but it doesn't as shown in the pictures, other than that if you're a basic gamer who wants to experience the PC gaming world then I'd say go for it.

Bought this to replace a computer I built over 10 years ago. Not as easy to get to some settings. No really up-gradable as I'm used to.
The RTX2060 video card does a good job playing all my games.
The 256gb solid state hard drive does allow it to boot very quickly.
The computer really doesn't come with any documentation.
Immediately after getting it, I upgraded Windows 10 to Pro.
I would have liked to have a mic port in the front with the headphone port.
I really have no regrets about buying. No buyers remorse.

No issues with anything, I’m happy with the fps I get on Warzone, EFT, VALORANT, etc. For a PC I can get at my local bestbuy the day of without shipping I am happy. If you are serious and are willing to spend more, I would suggest a larger SSD ( 1 GB) and possibly upgrade to 32 GB of RAM.

Bought this late one night after my PC just kept crashing while gaming. Got so made googled up Best Buy and this bad boy was on sale. And let me tell you, it has exceeded my expectations massively. You have a hot swap SSD port so if you run music apps or video editing software you can keep local storage down and have a lot of freedom. Can run just about anything on ultra as well

I price matched with a lot of other PC building websites and name brand computer companies. If you aren't totally computer savvy and don't have time to pick over computer parts for maybe a glimpse of value, I would say this PC is a good start in 2020. The fan is nowhere close to as loud as a PS4 Pro running full blast. Runs Witcher 3, CS:GO, League, Destiny 2, Valorant etc. really well. Easy setup and no frills.

Fourth Asus PC and knew I would love it. The specs versus price is reasonable. The tower is sleek and minimalist with Aura Sync for color/pattern preferences. USB and headphone ports in a great spot for quick access at an angle. Verticle vents for optimal cooling with fans, which are tolerably moderate for noise pollution. Perfect for VR- paired with Oculus Quest 2 seamlessly.

This PC has been amazing! Looks great and functions perfectly. I'm able to play my games (fallout 76, warzone, apex legends, world of warcraft, and smite) at a very high framerate with high to ultra graphics. This is my first gaming pc and is a major upgrade from my xbox. I only wish I made the change sooner!
