I bought this laptop to replace my 6-7 yr old Dell laptop. I'm not a gamer. I purchased this laptop so I can edit videos and use Adobe programs. It's a beautiful machine with amazing power. Everything works perfectly stable and powerful. The screen is totally awesome, amazing quality. Windows 10 is easy to use and grateful that it comes on this machine. Sound is powerful, mouse pad works amazing, screen resolution is top notch. I am using this machine for lots of video work and graphics work and I am pleased so far. I haven't found a single thing that is weird or bad so far and I am very picky. Just a great machine to have. This machine is LIGHT! I can't believe how light it is and how cool it runs. It weighs a several pounds less that my Dell Studio XPS 16 Series.

I have two or the ROG laptops that I use for my web design business. The one I am using right now and they are rock solid and fast. They have solid frames that put up with being hauled around every day and they are fast enough to render videos and handle photoshop and illistrator with ease. I don't actually game on them at all so I couldn't tell you how they do there. I like the screen size as it is perfect for me. I wouldn't want it any bigger for what I do. I thought I would use the 10 key more but I don't use it much. The battery lasts me about 2 hours realistically. The speaker aren't as loud as I would hope they would be. In fact they aren't loud enough. I find myself wanting to turn them up. Also, the back light for the keyboard is just around the outside of the keys themselves and the letters of each key don't light up. I know that seems trivial but I do type in the dark some times and this would be nice. I will be buying another one of these.

    $1500 laptop for $1000

Returned a Toshiba 4k flip screen that was poorly designed. Was resigned to not finding something worth buying at Best Buy. Stumbled on this in store. The specs were ridiculous, but my experience with Dell and HP made me a little skeptical. ASUS did not screw up the design. No ventilation issues, no slippery grip plastic, no bleeding white reflective screen. This thing is freaking amazing for that price. The only reason it isn't more expensive is because ASUS has another laptop in the same ROG line for ~$1500 that has a few more features like an even better cooling system, soundcard, SSD, and slots. If you're looking at this laptop and anything up to $1400, get this. You won't find a better deal.

I do love this laptop, I wanted everything it has. The only issue I have is the heat this thing produces, I have to have a lap fan for it to keep the heat off my leg. This computer is fast, easy to customize and plays my heavy use games very well on ultra. The design is very nice but does collect fingerprints like no other.. I would buy this laptop again, very happy with it.

Good price. The laptop works well within my expectation. Only issue is the lack of confirmation on the type of M.2 SSD card it support.

Loved how light weight it is and the battery life, but I don't think I knew how to fully utilize it. It was a browsing machine and youtube. It wouldn't do my Dish Anywhere application or the NFL ticket.. I also couldn't deal with the 13" screen.. it was too small. The sound wasn't great either.. but it was a $250 machine.. so, I guess it's hard to expect superior specs for what one pays.

I confirm this Laptop has an awesome performance, great video (nVidia 960M + Intel HD graphics), 8 logic processors, nice HDD (7200). The keyboard is really nice, with red illumination, good sensation when typing, I'm really happy with this purchase. It exceeds my expectations.

I've had the computer for a week or two now and over all it's been great to me. I don't game super heavily but I enjoy my games running well and that is what this gives me. I can run just about any game that I want on it (though not all will be in high settings) and it's small enough to take around and use in lots of other situations. I haven't tested it with media editing yet but I have high hopes. As with any gaming laptop though, it will run hotter. I've never passed problamatic or dangerous temperatures. It's just warmer than your standard computer, as well it should be. I have found that the battery drains really fast even in sleep mode. I get an average of 3-5 hours out of it in use time, and I get about 12-18 hours of sleep time before it's just about dead. (this might be a manufacture defect I'm not sure) The speakers on this are good for a laptop, but they give an odd quality to some of the music I listen to and the "Sonic Master" sound options aren't enough to get it the way I want it. That being said, I tend to use good earbuds or headphones, so it's not a huge problem for me. I love the keyboard. There is a really comfortable key press distance and it only took me a few minutes to get used to it. (most of the time It takes me days to get used to a keyboard) Seeing as I type a lot for work and other things, this is a big bonus for me. Over all I really like the computer. It has all of the latest tech for a pretty stellar price. (specially when it's on sale). While it's not the progamer's laptop, It will do anybody good if they're looking for a really good gaming experience mixed with the power to work on just about anything else they want. I still have to test it with Media editing and CAD production to see how it handles those. If I can edit this I'll fix it after I do.

This is a great laptop. It is not too heavy even though it has a DVD drive. It has a nice variety of ports to connect various devices to. I did have to do all the updates to make it run well. I have loaded both apps and real programs with no problems. Love all the different positions it can do-especially the tablet mode.

This is a great laptop for the money and an overall great value. So far I only have two gripes. 1, the laptop will not update the graphics card automatically and it isn't super friendly but if you know your way around a computer you will be fine. 2, Even with all this raw power I have seen, the machine is running a little hot. Overall I'm glad I made the purchase and would recommend this to a friend. Also red is unfortunately not my color, but that's more of just a preference.

Had an older 17" model before this one. This one is half the weight with almost the performance. I do miss a few tHngs from the bigger model such as 4 USB 3.0 ports as opposed to 2 3.0s, 1 C and 1 2.0. USB 2.0? Really? There is also only one 2.5" drive bay instead of two which sucks for me cuz I have two SSDs but can only use one and now have to buy an M.2 SSD. The M.2 option is in no way a negative, but now I have a useless SSD and that much less storage space. Upgrading internals is super easy, though. All in all it is a great rig.

Great computer for games and everyday use. Runs photoshop and other heavy programs like a dream. Occasional issues when it is sleeping and I try to turn it on again (restarts and closes programs) but it may be user error. Overall i like this laptop though!
