Compared to other 5090 cards this has significant coil wine, and the RGB defaults are ugly. Which by itself shouldn't be an issue except for motherboards which can't control it by default as the Asus software is garbage. Overall expected way better for this price. The 4th fan also seems to be 100% pointless. Quiet mode would be ok except any significant rendering or high fps gaming comes with coil wine.

Underwhelming for a Flagship
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up the 5090 Astral expecting top-tier performance, but it was a letdown. The card maxed out at just 1.04v, which seriously limited its overclocking potential. It also ran noticeably louder than expected. I switched to the Master Ice, and the difference was clear — 1.07v cap, better cooling, quieter, and way more stable under load. In my opinion, the Master Ice is the better-designed card overall. If you’re choosing between the two, skip the Astral — it doesn’t live up to the premium price tag.
