However, the RTX 5070 doesn’t quite live up to its potential due to thermal constraints, and the price puts it in competition with machines that offer better GPU headroom. Still, with solid features across the board and frame generation smoothing over some of the performance limitations, the G16 earns a solid 4 out of 5 stars — a premium laptop that just misses greatness.

Had lag and crashing issues. Lagged bad on dune awakening. Did not like running videos and would lag through the video. Had two random blue screen crashes. This was the second one I bought with issues.

I have had a few Asus laptops in the past and have always had a good experience with their products over the course of my life. I've never had to contact their customer service, so that says a lot considering I bought my first Asus product around Y2K. First off, the screen on this laptop is phenomenal one of the best view and gaming experiences I have had. I use a 360HZ QD-OLED which renders most screens looking inferior to me, this one exceeded expectations. Good brightness, extremely smooth, and awesome colors with true blacks it really enhances the user experience in a major way. The rest of the specs are pretty top of the line, getting the current flagship intel mobile chip along with the lastest and greatest from Nvidia. While intel has certainly fallen on hard time's since the debacle that was 13th and 14th gen desktop processors, amongst other things, their latest mobile chips are much more competitive than their current desktop options. This is right at the top in both single thread and multi thread performance, and it has a integrated GPU for when your actually using your laptop like a laptop to increase battery life. The Nvidia 5070 used is a nice compliment, keep in mind this is not the same 5070 you'd get in a desktop, giving you all the latest features like DLSS 4 and a huge performance boost when plugged in giving you up to 105w of extra power. Unfortunately they only provide you with 8gb of VRAM which can limit the settings you'll be able to run in certain modern games. Would have been nice to see 12gb. The 285h with 5070 while hooked up to the wall offers great performance in pretty much all the popular titles out currently, it'll run anything out just might not be able to use max settings. Fans will ramp up of course but they did a good job of making sure it doesn't sound like your old original PS4. I don't like the choice Asus made with the RAM for this model, they only gave you 16gb and it is soldered to the motherboard so it cannot be expanded. This is the exact anti-consumer behavior we've seen out of Apple for years, it essentially forces you to spend more money to get specs that will better last the tests of time. They do at least give you the ability to install addition NVME SSD, and they gave you 1TB to start with which is acceptable. Another negative in my opinion is the charging/power delivery selected for this model. It uses a proprietary plug but it is only a 220w power brick, USB-C can deliver up to 240w currently. Using USB-C would have been a fantastic improvement to the usability of this system on the go, but Asus opted for this proprietary connector for some reason. I understand for the 5080 and 5090 models they exceed the power limits of USB-C currently, but for a model like this that is more geared to be a "jack of all trades" it would have been nice to see them use the current universal standard. There is a lot more positive about this laptop than there is negative, definitely worth consideration if you are looking for a laptop that offers high end specs without being too bulky. The screen alone makes up for most of the other minor shortcomings this system has in my opinion.

I own alot of laptops, and i think ASUS is by far my favorite brand of gaming laptops. This one is definitely in the top 5 of all the laptops i own. The laptop itself looks pretty slick and is ultra slim and lightweight for a 240hz gaming laptop. It has a beautiful 16" OLED screen, that has great range of color and sharpness to it. Playing games on this thing runs like a dream, alot my higher end gaming laptops get super hot when running for long gaming periods, but this one seems to run pretty cool, dont get me wrong it'll still get pretty warm, but honestly nowhere near as bad as some others i have. The laptop is also pretty quiet, i noticed even under heavy loads It doesn't seem too loud. Also speaking of loud, this laptop has some really good sound to it, i do prefer to wear headphones when gaming but the audio on this thing is actually pretty decent. Over this laptop seems to handle pretty much any game i throw at it on the highest of settings i am not really seeing much downside. I'll leave some specs below but overall it is what it says and being Asus I really think this will be a good laptop to have for quite some time, as I have personally never had any issues with any Asus stuff i own and feel they stand behind their products. pros: Intel Ultra 9 185H processor 16" OLED 2.5K 240Hz 0.2ms Response time NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 1TB SSD 16GB RAM cons out of the box i dont really have any complaints, maybe wish it had a larger hard drive but thats nothing i cant upgrade down the road, as far as actual issues with this i found zero. i would definitely recommend this laptop for anyone looking for a solid portable gaming rig

I am a big PC gamer and when it comes to gaming you want a fast processor and great graphics and an all in one machine that can keep up with todays latest games that are fast moving and insane graphics. Asus knows how to keep up with the competitors and they keep up with the big names in the market. This laptop is no different and it not only has fast processing speeds and the latest Intel Ultra 9 chip that is the best when it comes to gaming and how to keep up with todays games. I played Call of Duty on this laptop and it is great. The 16 inch large display is beautiful and its graphics displayed nicely. The set up of this machine is great and very easy as always and its footprint is great as well and also its not too heavy a machine since Asus knows how to pack power into a smaller device that can be transported. If your a gamer thats key and if you are traveling from place to place gaming, you need a machine that can keep up with this and Asus can do it. I would highly recommend this computer for any gamer looking for a fast maching that matches todays games.

The ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G16 16" OLED 2.5K 240Hz Gaming Laptop with Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X Memory, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU, and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage is a high-quality gaming laptop that I am very impressed with. The premium aluminum CNC chassis gives this Zephyrus G16 a high-quality look and feel at a surprisingly low weight of only 4.08 lbs and 0.59” thickness. Despite the light weight and small size, this laptop packs a powerful punch and fully met my needs in its current configuration. Despite having only 16GB of RAM, I did not experience any issues while gaming or using the Zephyrus G16 for work which often involves having multiple programs running at once. The fact that I can use this laptop for both gaming and work is one of the things I like most about it. It is portable and allows me to be productive when I need it for work purposes and internet browsing while also being able to fully handle intense gaming sessions. The 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage loads programs and games very quickly but if you intend on having many different games installed at once, you might be better off upgrading to a laptop with more storage space or using an external SSD for additional storage since many of the popular games nowadays really take up a lot of space. The top-of-the-line NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop graphics card coupled with the high-end Intel Core Ultra 9 Series 2 processor also helps contribute to the smooth, reliable operation of the system but no matter how good the internal components are, if you don’t have solid, reliable cooling, the components won’t last very long. Fortunately, the ROG Intelligent Cooling system that comes with this Zephyrus G16 seems to be top-notch which should help the laptop last for many years to come. It features a liquid metal thermal compound, 2nd generation Arc Flow fans, and tri-fan technology. As for the ROG Nebula display with NVIDIA G-SYNC, it supports 2.5K resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and has a response time of 0.2ms. At 16”, it is just big enough for gaming while remaining small enough for easier portability, but I prefer gaming on larger screens. Fortunately, this Zephyrus G16 laptop includes an HDMI 2.1 output port as well as two USB-C ports which each support DisplayPort 2.1 connections (one on each side). Additional connections include two USB3.2 Gen2 Type A ports (one on each side), and one SD card reader (UHS II) which should be more than enough for the average person. Excellent computer so far. No blaring fans on games and very quick response times changing screens. A bit expensive but what isn't these days. The quicker computer makes up for the cost
