Love this ASUS router. Matter of fact, I love all things ASUS. This router is powerful and covers my large home with fast download speed.

I recently bought this a few months ago and it worked good for the month of use I got out of it. Then I had to go out of town for a month and upon my return, found that the router had died. No power, no lights flashing, just nothing. I tried a different power supply that matched the same plug, voltage and amps and still nothing.
This was my first time buying an Asus router and will be my last. Will not recommend this router to anyone I know.

ASUS is an ISO certified company, as a result, all products go into a strict quality manufacturing standard. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections that ensure each one is trouble-free, and are built to last. If you have tried another known good power supply, power outlet or AC source and a hardware reset using the switch and the problem persisted, we recommend you send the product in for service to determine if this is a hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately. Amazing upgrade for my home internet over using the ISP equipment! So many. Features and control that definitely make it easier to have top tier network!

OMG. Probably the worst router I ever purchased. It was half-baked at launch with the processor implantation and horrendous firmware programmers. The ASUS RT-BE92U uses a 2.0 GHz quad-core processor. It also features 256 MB of Flash memory and 1 GB of DDR4 RAM. The processors lock up at 100%, some disappear, and they become so overladen you can’t even log back into the router (even by wired connection). ONLY A HARD RESET AND BETA FIRMWARE BRINGS IT BACK TO LIFE…WHICH MEANS ROUTER RESETS ITSELF ONLY 4-5 TOMES A DAY. Until Merlin makes a true firmware for this and testing in the wild is stable for weeks, do I recommend this router.

Great but a little advise

Works well except when you restart modem. Make sure you unplug wireless and wait until modem is fully up. Or it will refuse to recognize the internet.

The first four days I had this router I had constant problems - dropped/unstable connections, poor latency, etc. On the fifth day the router died. Tried powering it off and back on twice, nothing happened. Did a reset - nothing happened. Tried a reset a second time and it came back to life. Needless to say this over-priced router is being returned tomorrow.

Using this as an access point for my firewall, no hiccups yet and I'm getting strong WiFi signal way farther away than on my previous device. Speeds are acceptable too.

This router is great when it works, but it constantly drops not only Interent but all 3 bands, to the point that they are not even found by any devices. This is my 3rd Asus router. I had my previous model meshed with two older models and it seemed to work pretty well iver the last 5 years. I will say, however, I had similar issues with it initially, but after customizing a few settings, the drops went away. I tried to do the same with this one but had no luck. Of course, I'm only a few days past thr return period. I just bought a few Unifi Express 7s and they have been rock solid..shoild have done this from the start.

I expected a high quality router spending over $200. After about 9 months, the 2.4 ghz band stopped working and I lost all connection to all my 18 smart devices. I spent over 3 hours in total with Asus "tech support" and no resolution. They said to box it up and send it in for a warranty repair.. yeah like that's gonna work. This thing is going in the garbage.

Upgrading from an old asus router and went the same rout due to reliability. No issues so face

Was ok when I bought it, software update made it useless to me. $300 brick now! Switched back to my old Asus router and no problems at all. The router software is buggy! The router literally would stop passing traffic and have to be manually be rebooted, and sometimes it was every day or somes several times a day. I haven't had to reboot my older Asus router even once. Is it possible once they update the firmware that it will work better, but right now wouldn't buy this router even on sale if you want a dependable router. And don't believe that it is a hardware issue but a software issue.
