I expected a high quality router spending over $200. After about 9 months, the 2.4 ghz band stopped working and I lost all connection to all my 18 smart devices. I spent over 3 hours in total with Asus "tech support" and no resolution. They said to box it up and send it in for a warranty repair.. yeah like that's gonna work. This thing is going in the garbage.

OMG. Probably the worst router I ever purchased. It was half-baked at launch with the processor implantation and horrendous firmware programmers. The ASUS RT-BE92U uses a 2.0 GHz quad-core processor. It also features 256 MB of Flash memory and 1 GB of DDR4 RAM. The processors lock up at 100%, some disappear, and they become so overladen you can’t even log back into the router (even by wired connection). ONLY A HARD RESET AND BETA FIRMWARE BRINGS IT BACK TO LIFE…WHICH MEANS ROUTER RESETS ITSELF ONLY 4-5 TOMES A DAY. Until Merlin makes a true firmware for this and testing in the wild is stable for weeks, do I recommend this router.

Works well except when you restart modem. Make sure you unplug wireless and wait until modem is fully up. Or it will refuse to recognize the internet.

The first four days I had this router I had constant problems - dropped/unstable connections, poor latency, etc. On the fifth day the router died. Tried powering it off and back on twice, nothing happened. Did a reset - nothing happened. Tried a reset a second time and it came back to life. Needless to say this over-priced router is being returned tomorrow.

This router is great when it works, but it constantly drops not only Interent but all 3 bands, to the point that they are not even found by any devices. This is my 3rd Asus router. I had my previous model meshed with two older models and it seemed to work pretty well iver the last 5 years. I will say, however, I had similar issues with it initially, but after customizing a few settings, the drops went away. I tried to do the same with this one but had no luck. Of course, I'm only a few days past thr return period. I just bought a few Unifi Express 7s and they have been rock solid..shoild have done this from the start.

Worse Router ever, had Asus routers before without issues. Updated the firmware several times, need to reset 2-3 times per day to get the Asus app working on a Pixel phone. Too bad past the return window.

To resolve the unstable connection, verify if the PC or device connecting to the router is within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired with a network cable, and ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. Legacy devices may not work properly with WIFI-6E or WIFI-7, please check updates for these devices. Also, try to disable "Smart Connect" and try connecting these manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Furthermore, place the router in the center of the area you want to cover, avoid placing the router near metal objects, electronic devices or direct sunlight, position the router on a flat, hard surface and halfway between the floor and ceiling. Additionally, dense building materials, such as gypsum, concrete walls and planks can affect Wi-Fi signal penetration.

Was ok when I bought it, software update made it useless to me. $300 brick now! Switched back to my old Asus router and no problems at all. The router software is buggy! The router literally would stop passing traffic and have to be manually be rebooted, and sometimes it was every day or somes several times a day. I haven't had to reboot my older Asus router even once. Is it possible once they update the firmware that it will work better, but right now wouldn't buy this router even on sale if you want a dependable router. And don't believe that it is a hardware issue but a software issue.

I was hesitant buying this with the mixed reviews. There were three firmware updates in February that have resolved all of the issues. The cores are running optimally and no reboots needed! For the price of $212.99 (on sale, this is a steal to get a wifi7 router, check out the review of this from Dong Knows. His review is spot on!

I wish I can give ZERO stars, and return this garbage. I upgraded and added this router to my existing AIMesh, but this was a mistake. Always had a great experience with Asus router, and this one is hot garbage. First 2-3 weeks, it worked with out any issue, and now the internet us keeps dropping for no reason. Tried everything what Asus suggested, tried all the tricks from online different forums, and groups, but seems like it is a design issue and firmware is unable to fix it.
