Originally wanted to find a curved monitor for each of my teenagers but found my daughter didn’t care for that and was more interested in one with built-in speakers for casual video watching (this feature seemed hard to come across). They normally wear headsets when gaming so this gives her the flexibility to use either way so is a win in my book. Found & decided to hold onto it for a Christmas gift since she’s using a 20” Acer monitor I already had. The 24” will be a good upgrade for sure. Have a VESA wall mounted on the 20” so swapping with the ASUS should be quick & easy. Plan on updating this review once we get some use out of it the ASUS.

This monitor is awesome, especially at the price it was selling for. Not only is the picture quality great, but it also has built in sound. No need for me to buy extra speakers for my computer. It has 2 HDMI in ports which is great because I use one for my computer and the kids use the other for their gaming console. It also has a VGA port for older computers. I definitely recommend.

This is a solid gaming monitor if you are on a budget. I game on my Xbox One X using this monitor. There’s a broad selection of settings available. So with some tinkering, you can get solid picture quality.

Even though this is a gaming monitor, I have been using it for general purposes with a good deal of satisfaction. I have used it as a second monitor to my laptop, monitor for my Samsung Note 9 DEX mode, XBOX, Raspberry Pi and more. Screen color, details and refresh speeds are very good. Several image modes for things like games, video, photo editing and general computing. Built in speaker is handy with some devices. Output is actually much louder and better than I expected. The monitor is quite a bit thicker and heavier than most other modern HD monitors but this is probably due to the build in speakers, height-adjustable stand and ability to route cables through the stand. Overall, it's a good value.
