I was in the market for an ultrabook. There is nearly no product at this price point with these characteristics. The design is also very nice.

I purchased this Asus for the purpose of being able to bring my business workflow back to Windows 10 and frankly did not have too high of expectations for the price I paid. It has decent enough specs for the money which actually would make it a terrific value if it weren’t for the display!! I guess it’s my own fault for not looking closer at the specs but I could have swore it said IPS display. Unfortunately this model comes with a TN display, which honestly just stinks. I’m surprised manufacturers still bother putting these lousy displays in their machines. Do yourself a favor and just spend a little more, or in some cases the same amount as this machine costs, and get a machine with an IPS panel.

Not even two months of use, I see that hinge is starting to pushes the frame of the screen. I know whats going to happen if I don’t open the laptop slowly like any other laptop. It will snap and break the screen. Why this happened that I can no longer return it. Not buying this next time.

since the purchase the product is giving error and restarting. what do I do

I normally use a desktop computer, but decided to get a laptop for travel purposes. I wanted something light and fast. I'm the type of person that uses multiple programs at once, but I'm not a gamer, so the amount of RAM seemed sufficient for my needs. The hard drive capacity is smaller, but it boots up fast when you turn it on, and it contributes to the light weight of the laptop's design. The battery life is good. If you are just web browsing and not doing anything too power heavy, it seems to last longer. I think maybe my only complaint is the display. It's tolerable, but if it's something that's important to you, you may want to consider other options. Also, there aren't many USB ports, so sometimes I have to use a multi-port USB adapter. Overall, its light weight, portability, and being able to use multiple applications without slow down are the winning points for me. If you want a fast, portable laptop, I would recommend this one.

Had to get a new laptop because my cat threw up on my old one, a few keys did not recover. I really prefer a touch screen but didn't want to spend the $$$. This laptop is great, nice size, no issues. I primarily use the laptop to go the internet and write a few documents every now and then - no gaming, no streaming.

The laptop is fast and nice looking. The only issue I have is the touchscreen so I just disable it in the Windows.

The computer is lightweight and sleek, yet doesn't feel terribly cheap. The screen resolution is absolutely fine for most average laptop users. HD looks great on it, some 3rd part apps and websites can be blurry, though. This is all more than made up for by the incredible speed of this computer. Boots up nearly in an instant and there's absolutely no lag between launching tasks or surfing the web.

Very light and portable laptop! I read some reviews on it saying the resolution is bad or something which is not true (its very clear), or how the mouse pad doesn't work (its functioning perfectly for me). The only thing I did notice was that when the laptop is doing some processing (for example playing a video game), it makes a very loud noise (like gears spinning really fast) I'm guessing (im no expert) this is due to it having a SSD as opposed to a hard drive which I'm used to. It's not really that big of an issue, just something I've noticed. Also keep in mind this laptop doesn't have that much space. Really though, its a very nice laptop to go around with, battery life is pretty good too.

Okay I'm going to keep this short and sweet. No touch screen, but do we really use those much on a laptop? No. But what it does have? Thin bezel, very nice. 1080p resolution, again, very nice. Backlit keyboard with three lighting levels, very nice. Keyboard has a good feel. Solid state hard drive, small but adequate. Micro SD card slot for expandability (although the SD card is not flush with the side and sticks out 1/4", not good). 8GB of ram, adequate. Intel i5 quad core with hyper threading, nice. For a 14" screen its very small, and very thin. Oh yeah, the battery. Seems to last in real world (laying on the couch while watching Netflix) time of about 4-5 hours at 75% brightness level. So that's about it, nice little laptop, no powerhouse, but for standard usage more than adequate. Looks svelte, and the nearly edge to edge screen, and thinness makes it look more expensive than it is. Def a buy, but better as a second computer, not your primary, unless you need very little storage. - Jivedaddy

I love this computer. So far it’s been great I’ve had it for about 3 months and do college work on it only. The battery life is long enough for me to be able to finish all my assignments and still have power for the next few days. I’m constantly on the internet for Canvas and Person use. The computer is light weight and the screen is small but not too small. The only thing I don’t like is when it goes to battery saving mode the screen goes darker. Not a big deal to me since I carry the charger and as soon as you connect it the screen goes back to bright.

It's really great buy, and I think it's absolutely worth the price when compared to other similar priced units. I'm sure we can get more powerful laptops for $200-$300 more, but they're going to be heavier, thicker and have accessories and absolutely have worse battery life. It's essentially an ultrabook for 1/3 of the price and all of the day-to-day performance. it's a great workhorse and easy to lug around given its form factor. I HIGHLY recommend it.

This was a good value for MS Office work, web browsing. Some people complained about the screen not being IPS, and while viewing angles aren't great, it looks fine if you're directly in front of it. Full HD resolution is great, coming from an older laptop with lower resolution. It's fast, light, and gets the job done for what I need it for. Not much to complain about at this price point.

Small, lightweight and fast. Easy to tuck in a bag pocket for travel.

Bought it for my wife and she loves it. It's compact and very light, and starts up in seconds. Although the screen is slightly smaller than her old 15" HP the video is crisp in full HD, doesn't lag, and projects remotely to Roku Stick. Much better than the similarly-priced HP and Asus we tried before deciding on this one for surfing and streaming.

This is a small laptop which is a good thing for my needs. Not many bells and whistles which is also a good thing for my application. I purchased this machine to run quickbooks for a union. Very fast, thin, lightweight and responsive. This is my first Asus product. They may have won me over.

I love my computer. It is compact and easy to transport from place to place. It is also fast and the programs, especially one drive is a wonderful place to store and find folders. I also like the google helper can locate programs that i have misplaced

I purchased this laptop a month ago. It’s very lightweight and small enough to carry around everyday. Easy multitasking, processes in seconds is an understatement. I can this things done quickly in so little time.

We bought this computer for my brother who is technologically challenged. It is fast enough to do what he needs and wants to do, it is lightweight and easy to carry around, and not a Dell (which his wife insisted on - don't ask me why, I have no idea). Instant on with the SSD, it has plenty of RAM for him, and an Intel chipset, which I insisted on. We bought it open-box and got a great deal, and it was in perfect shape. All in all a nice purchase. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
