The ASUS is everything I was expecting minus 2 things. Pros: fast, good looking, great package, screen is what I needed. Cons: when I read a comment about the keyboard being difficult to read I thought "how bad can it be?" The answer is bad. $4 later, I bought and put on black on white stickers and I can see it perfectly. Doesn't look as sleek but it works great. I wanted to add my two external monitors and so I spent money to buy a docking station using a USB C port. Only issue is the USB C port on this is not the top of the line port and so it doesn't allow for external monitors and charging. Resolved this with a 2 external monitor into 1 regular USB converter - works perfectly. Overall: I like this computer. A lot. Just have to deal with the keys and the USB C port - and I have.

This laptop has more than enough for what I needed a laptop for. You can't beat the specs for the price. My biggest complaint is that it does feel cheap because of the plastic. I would've gladly paid more for a laptop with an aluminum body. There were a lot of complaints about the keyboard coloring, which I don't find an issue. Though I do wish it had a backlit keyboard. But oh well. Display is nice, I'm able to do some light Photoshop editing and it looks great. Batter life is a little lacking but I don't intend to travel with it so it's not a huge deal. Overall, it's super quick, will do everything I need it to do, and the price was unbeatable.

For a 15" laptop it is very light and thin. It has a great display and more power, memory and storage than most people need. It has been wonderful using this with Zoom and watching videos. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is due to the very light colored keys which are hard to see in low light. I ordered a custom set of key labels.

It’s hard to argue with 12 GB of Ram for under $600. I’ve had this computer for a week and a half now and everything runs smooth. Even though it was “open box”, I haven’t noticed anything that could differentiate it from a brand new laptop (other than the cheaper price). The only thing I’ve found to be lacking was the stock speakers. When I went to watch the Mandalorian on my new laptop, I could barely hear the dialogue with the speakers turned all the way up. Otherwise, it would be five stars.

This was a great purchase. My previous computer was an ASUS (lasted 7 years before failure) so I decided to stay with the same brand. Did not disappoint. It’s very fast, sleek and easy to use. Set up was seamless and no problems have arisen. I also played Sims 4 on this laptop and the graphics worked beautifully. I agree that the grey lettering isn’t the best choice for all types of lighting environments, but in a well lit area they show up fine. Overall I’m very happy I upgraded and chose this laptop. For a laptop that’s less than $1000, this is a great choice to fit more than your basic needs.

Pros- Light weight, really nice components for the price, runs all my programs without any problems Cons- my battery only last a few hours not 9, screen not really bright, not very ridged Overall a nice computer with good components for the price. (Got mine for $499) Wish it was a little more ridged but since it's thin and light weight that's expected. No the keys are not back lit and they grey on grey is a little harder to see. But if you're not using it in the dark or know how to type thats not really an issue. The screen is nice enough but not as bright as I would like. My only real issue is that the battery only last me about 3-4 hours at the most before I have to plug it in.

After looking at several sites for a laptop for my son I found it here at Best Buy. It was a name brand (ASUS) had the right amount of memory, solid state hard drive size and great processor for a great price. My son loves his new laptop and marvels at how fast it is.

Great laptop for the price with great internals. Needed a new laptop for when I am working from home or traveling. I use multiple applications, a little bit of data and tables, etc. This has the chip and the ram if you don't want to spend over 1K. I'm happy with my choice.

I got this laptop to use for school and so far it's done pretty well. With classes having to move to remote online classes, I needed something that would be reliable in terms of connection, applications, and workload to be done. It's fast startup, lightweight, and no issues thus far. The silver keys aren't too big of an issue, but is difficult to see under different lighting, otherwise, pretty solid computer for basic tasks.

I bought this laptop 4 months ago to replace my old one and it's been great so far! The part I love the most is how lightweight it is. Another bonus is that the back part is slightly raised, so when you set it down on a flat surface the keyboard is at a slight incline. This is perfect for someone, like me, that primarily uses their laptop sitting down at a desk. The battery so far has lasted me around 3 hours per charge and I use my laptop for atleast 4-5 hours a day. This is my first computer that uses AMD Ryzen and I've had a good experience so far, coming from a person that has used Intel almost exclusively in the past. A few downsides have been that the screen randomly goes to black for a split second when I'm using the internet or the screen turns all green when I'm watching a YouTube video and I change the tabs. Another thing is when I'm watching a live stream, like on Twitch for example, the computer does get a little loud. These things don't bother me at all, but I could see how it could be bothersome for others. Overall this computer is great and I'm definitely glad I chose this one to replace my old one with.

Got this laptop when it was part of the "deal of the day". I bought for my daughter as a graduation present and to use for college this fall. She loves it It's fast and works well. We were pleased with how light it is and how well it performs. I was worried about the keyboard initially after some of the reviews, but I think it is fine. She loved the style. I am waiting for it to go on sale again, and I think I will get one for myself.

Lightweight, fast bootup and switching between apps. Screen resolution looks great. Randomly does freeze for me, not sure why, have to shut it off and back on and it runs fine again. No idea why it freezes intermittently. Keys are hard to see in daylight as the letter/number stamping blends in with the key color. Also hard to see at night in low light conditions.

The laptop for the most part delivers, it is light, it is quiet, and it is quick. But who agreed and thought it would be a good idea to use silver lettering on the keys. No backlit keyboard which makes it even worse.

This laptop is incredible, especially the price. It’s a fast and versatile laptop.

Once I received the item, it was exactly as described. The laptop is sleek, light, and the keys are surprisingly visible. However, my only criticism is that once I turned on the laptop, I got the horrific blue screen. However, it soon went away after the laptop did an automatic update. The sight of just getting the laptop and seeing that immediately pop up on the screen was not expected. However, once that was resolved, the laptop works great. Watching videos, editing videos, and etc. come easy with this laptop. I definitely recommend it for the price. However, I do not wish the Blue Screen upon anybody.

I like almost everything about it. Looks nice. Performs well. I am having an issue with the touch pad. It becomes unresponsive for a few seconds numerous times per day. Tried different sensitivity settings, drivers but still the same. The keyboard design is poor. Gray keys with silver letters. You can only see the letters under bright lights or if you're looking from directly above it. The designer and the person who approved this should be fired. I am going to give it another week or so then most likely return it.

I just can't give a 5 star review to this laptop no matter how much I love the performance. Whoever thought silver lettering on silver keys was a good idea ought to be fired! I went out and bought black vinyl stick on lettering that is very helpful for most of the keys. Other than that one serious design flaw and the way the RAM is set up making it difficult to add more, I'm quite pleased with the laptop overall.

When I bought this product it was at regular price. I was initially very happy with this product as a week passed, I started seeing little problems with the product. It started with the mouse pad, then random black screens while using my web browser, and now spots on my screen. I'm pretty disappointed at how this product went downhill in less than a month. It was pretty fast at startup originally and has now slowed down. The keyboard has also become defective. I wish my review were pointing out the good aspects of this product but, when so many things went wrong with this product I can't. I will be returning the product as soon as possible.

Was concerned with the AMD processor but laptop really performs well. Game on it and works for me
