Also, my mouse disappeared all of a sudden and it took me a while to adjust the settings... super puzzling. And this is just from the start so it wasn't because I had "too many files or apps" on the hard drive.

Very good top entry level laptop.

So far she is loving it. Excellent screen. Excellent keyboard. The processor is super fast. Being used mostly for school so she hasn’t yet discovered or used every feature this laptop possesses. The laptop is a great deal. It has a large footprint so be aware if you are looking for a small laptop. It’s mostly used on a desk so it is hardly backpacked but it does fit normal backpacks. It’s nice to look at and not heavy.

They do school work on them & use them for basic gaming. It is a large laptop, so it’s not something you want to carry around with on the go.

Make sure to look at the size for carrying capacity for backpacks so it fits. Speed is good although sometimes there will be longer than usual load times turning on the computer. Screen will fit two pages side by side with out the need to Zoom in.

After the updates the new laptop moved extremely slow and needed to run web browsers or programs for a while before it moved a little faster. Oddly too wide and won’t fit in some book bags or laptop bags.

The ASUS was a little heavy and too wide for practical purposes. However, good as a backup to my Dell laptop. I gave it to my grand daughter for her use in school

Performance wise it was slow even for simple things like web browsing. I was also not a fan of how large the laptop itself was. Returned after a couple weeks. I don’t recommend this
