    Used on a Lenovo laptop which did not come with a built in drive. I used it to digitize all my old CDs to FLAC files. Very fast and reliable.

    Seems like a decent device. New laptop did not have a CD drive and my son wanted to rip some of his CDs into iTunes to listen on his phone so we bought this. I've only used it to read CDs, I haven't tried to burn anything or read DVDs yet. The disc tray seems a little flimsy but what isn't these days? Other than that, seems sturdy enough.

    I was able to plug it in via the provided usb cable and it worked right away. Adding CD's to my itunes takes a while, not sure if the read speed is that great but it works well enough
