Bought an answering machine as I revived an old cordless only phone. Works perfectly with cable phone line. Only complaint is that the beep indicating a voice message is a little load even at lowest setting. Also got a good price at Best Buy that was cheaper than on Amazon!!

I purchased this answering to replace a "digital" answering machine that began to be irritating. I prefer to this "old" model, instead of the new tech product. Sometimes old faithful is better than new and improved

I needed to not let phone service provider do the answering and taking the message. After that it works great. I like the feature that when a message is left it signals that a message is waiting. The machine forces me to act on the message

Not too may stand alone answering machines out there anymore so this has very little competition. Back in the day this would have been below average, few features, poor sound quality, antiquated controls, a real blast from the past. But for $20 you can’t go wrong, it does the job, is solid mechanically and simple to use. As I said the record voice quality isn’t great, I had to have my mouth on top of the microphone to make the recording and it wasn’t clear at that. I researched the few available and this seemed best, hasn’t given me any trouble.

Item Works Well It serves the purpose that I need it

I was looking for a stand alone answering machine because we have a Caption Call phone, as well as a wall phone. Both need to be connected to a single answering machine. Our other answer machine had quit working. I was glad to find this at Best Buy as most answering machines are built into phones anymore,

Full featured answering machine does more than I need it to do.

Works perfectly for my mother who still has a land line.
