    The base needs to be near the router in order to plug into to it. On the base you see what happening such as messages left. So if your router is behind the TV and not easily assessable thats where you place the base. Unless you want to be running sire all over the house. I have not found how to see messages left just by looking at the handset which I can place in an open easily assessable area.

    I like the call block feature, but during a call, there's either a buzzing noise, or no sound at all. I rarely use my landline, or I probably would've returned the system long ago.
