We only have one phone jack in our house so we needed ones that run differently. Plug the base in to the jack and just plug the other base into an outlet. Only comes with 2 phones but have the option to buy more if neededb

One connected to my modem and the others were spread throughout the house. Coverage is great and clarity is great also.

Good phone for VoIP

I use it with my VoIP line from my cable company and it works great. The voice mailbox features work fine, as do the address book lists. I have had no problems using this phone at all, and the intercom system saves me a trip up or down the stairs if i need to ask to my kids a quick question.
