Not for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to replace a phone whose batteries needed replacement. Since it was on sale I figured that for the price of a set of 4 AAA Ni-cads I could get a new phone. Unfortunately I found that this one did not have the features that I wanted and also was difficult to program. First of all I noted that when you pressed * it sent a 1 and when you pressed # it sent something that looked like a U. My voice mail speed dial is a * and two numbers so I can't program it into the voice mail speed dial. Next I did not like that the batteries were specific to the phone and not replaceable like standard AAA rechargeables. Finally I found that when a voice mail was sent the phone screen does not light to indicate a voice mail. In a dark or dim room or when there is no direct light on the screen you can't see the VOICE MAIL indication from my carrier. I decided to return the product and I'll look at another brand.

Disappointing.

Who ever heard of a land line that you can't make an outgoing message on? Also it's defective - was told so by your own Geek squad. Display window is dark, can't read it. Being a senior I 'm not as sharp as I'd like and didn't realize I had to return product within 14 days so I can't get a refund. So not only low income but now am out almost $50.00.

This phone DOES NOT have talking caller ID. Complete waste of money and now we have the hassle of returning.
